Description:
Last week William posted a song that was mostly my work. Now I'm posting one that's ENTIRELY his. It started off with an old bluegrass tune that he couldn't remember the name of and evolved into something unique. I feel very privileged that he let me post it.

So.... &mdash 04/07/06 - 06:03:56 PM
...if Mando posts a tune that's mostly Rebsies and Rebsie posts a song
that's completely Mando's, then, if you have one that's 50-50, who will
post it then?
Great tune Mando. Nice and bright and shiny. For some reason it makes
me want to watch a pirate movie.
Nicely done and lots of fun. [ Reply to This ]
So.... &mdash 04/08/06 - 02:32:15 AM
Heh! When it's 50/50 we have to toss a coin for it.

Well, your posting technique is unusual but I really like it. hehe. Mando's
three mandolins had their part in it too.
Much enjoyed overall. I particularly like how the mandolins harmonize.
No gripes here. [ Reply to This ]

What a cheerful, upbeat tune. Masterful playing, Mando. This is really
lovely. Brings up images of a street fair, or some other happy occasion. [ Reply to This ]

What an absolutely fantastic woody, twangy antique sound that mando
makes when played so expertly.
This week's offering up plenty for RD fans. [ Reply to This ]

I wish I could play my mando like this. This is top-notch! I mean both the
quality of the playing as well as the crisp, clean sound. KUDOS!

Great playing. Clear, sharp notes cascading in every different direction
to lighten the heart and make the feet move! [ Reply to This ]

Well, after all, it was inspired by a Dave Grisham track someone sent me!

You're soooooo fine! &mdash 04/09/06 - 01:28:14 PM
Oooo this makes me knees go all wobbly! Mando you've a fine instrument
there and no mistake and your playing is so delicate you make the notes
flow like a mountain stream sparkling in the morning sun - bliss.
This tune has a bit of a Scottish feel and something of the hornpipe about
it.
I was hoping to post a largely mandolin track soon but I may have to
rethink - you've set the bar at a very great hight.

Well, we were naturally shocked and disgusted, but we'll forgive you. ;)
Please don't let William's magic fingers put you off posting a mandolin track! I
wanna hear it.

what a delight &mdash 04/09/06 - 02:38:36 PM
Nice bouncy energetic piece, definitely ought to get the neighbors
working hard on that shack... but look, they've finished their work so
quickly with this music, and it is not a shack at all, but a 3-story Victorian
mansion! Wonderfully played, expertly recorded, and such a great
melody!

Thanks Bob! Of course I can't take any credit for it at all ... it's entirely the work of my former collaborator, who has just rejoined MacJams after a long absence.
