Description:
This song is with our old drummer and our old singer.Lyrics:
Numb from all these excessive fantasiesNo ounce of strength have I gained in this dream Rising up all the things I can see... Head in a cloud of confusion, So high I can touch the sky Lost in a sea of emotion, So low the voice echoes Can you feel? Do you see how I live? Are you there? Take what I give Free from the ones who control me, I fall, I awake, I'm clean Everywhere I look is comforting, In my ears the sound keeps on ringing My thoughts are jumbled, still racing, Fill my head, I cannot concentrate Head in a cloud of confusion, So high I can touch the sky Lost in a sea of emotion, So low the voice echoes Can you feel? Do you see how I live? Are you there? Take what I give Free from the ones who control me, I fall, I awake, I'm clean For reasons that I can't explain, These reasons no longer contained Absolution cleanses all my pain, All dried out again, I wait for rain! |

then goes into a rampage somewhere in the quarter point and it just
fores away from there before it cools down to some acoustic noodling
again. Just looking at the lyrics alone, it's hard to find a definite
structure to this song, but maybe that is intentional and that in itself is
a unique style. It's almost a free-form kind of composition in that it
doesn't follow the traditional verse/chorus/bridge format. But this is
alternative music, and that is where it stands out unique and different
from the traditional genres of rock and pop. Altogether, I just feel the
song itself is like a medley of awesome short rock/metal songs rather
than a well-integrated or unified hard rock/heavy metal song.
Performance wise, there is nothing to nitpick on. This on rates
extremely high on the production level. Very pro, without a doubt.
In my opinion (and there could very well be legions who will disagree
with me), the song material doesnt quite measure to the very talented
performance and production. Personally, I would like you to go along
the lines of the ultra-successful Def Leppard... but that's just me. You
sure have awesome potential to become big in your own way and in
your own style!
