Description
In 1980, I bought a gorgeous dulcimer at the Marin County Renaissance Faire. I played "Dulce" a few times, but she had several strings and that was a little too complicated for me, so she was set aside as life went by. In April 2006, I went to a local Renaissance faire with my wife (http://www.goldcoastfestivals.com/escondidoren/erenpg1.html), and as she learned to spin wool into yarn, I decided to bring Dulce along and strum a little to provide some simple entertainment. The discovery of a few chords, and my ability to count to 3, led me to create the following... uh... song. Here, for the first time ever, is a recording of me trying to play an instrument live. I did record this as 2 tracks, one of strumming, and one of picking. And of course, the "Sweet Love" Spanish title of the piece is a play on words of Dulci-mer. Thanks to MissChaos for suggesting a stronger ending.
