The Rainsoaked Highway

Description
A somber relaxed tune remisicent of driving down a midnight highway after a thorough downpour. It has shades of The Doors', "Riders On the Storm".

This song has no loops, no vocals (yet), and features instruments from the GarageBand Jam Pack. My favorite is the rainstick featured at the introduction and again at the end of the song.

Shades of
Those aren't shades. The chords are too close for comfort.
You'll have publishers wanting payment for this one.

Shades of
Haha! You know, I had no context of how similar the song really was. I
wasn't listening nor had I recently listened to the Doors "Riders On the Storm"
when I slapped this together, and after I read your comment I just listened to
it to determine how close they were. I'm really amazed how close they really
are!

Just goes to show that if you try pulling something out of the blue, someone's
probably already written it.

Doors
Yeah, nice Doors vibe.

Nicely too bad!
What a shame, like the Beatles said... "There's nothing you
can say that hasn't been said", unless of course you listen
to George Carlin, now he says things that've never been
said!

Too close for comfort to really take credit . . . Must've
been something subliminal, you probably listened to this
song hundreds of times before, but just forgot somehow,
when you created this piece.

Still, nicely done for not remembering what you probably
already knew! ;-)

-Cheers!

This sounds
like one of those knockoff songs that reminds you of a
really successful tune, but is just far away to keep from
being sued... LOL Part of the similarity is the choice of the
same identical instrements with similar production, a
common technique for those knock off tunes. THe more I
listened to the song, the closer it got though, so you
ehhh... might want to be careful!
