Description:
A friend asked me if I could write soundtrack music for educational games. I told her my music was not always so easily digestible, but it got me thinking. Here's my attempt at mainstream grooving. Still, the beat shifts around in places.

Hardware:
Mac G5

Software:
Logic Pro, Reaktor (drum, 2 lead synths), Trilogy (bass)

What Doctor restricted her audio diet? &mdash 04/21/06 - 01:17:28 AM
Hello from the ATX--

This is an aural chrysalis. the consonant melody can be heard working
its way to maturity while the stripped down groove--it's proto-form
is--luckily- still very evident.

I say continue to nurture this--perhaps even split it in two. Give it
more space and allow intuition to guide.

Very Devo like &mdash 06/30/06 - 03:23:13 PM
I think all you have to add on this one is like a real drum kit loop other
than that it kicks ass.

since you said educational games, I thought of, like, reader rabbit and all those types of games while listening. It would be good for video game music, I must say. Even for something like a platform jumper or a tetris or arkanoid style game.
A joyous melodic tune.

Well.. &mdash 11/24/07 - 04:31:33 AM
I'm still not entirely sure the usuall crowd of mainstream people would readily digest this all at once. Don't get me wrong- I personally think it;s great- they just might still find it too jumpy.

I'm not mainstream? Now you're telling me! &mdash 11/24/07 - 08:24:40 PM
Yeah, so I won't get rich selling out to the masses. I'm so disappointed.
