Another good 'un &mdash 04/20/06 - 12:49:10 PM
As with the 'Reality TV' track this is really bright and breezy, I like the
guitar sounds a lot and the tambourine bit that comes in on the chorus.
My only crit would be that the drums sound a bit loud but that just might
be my headphones. You have a knack for writing catchy topical tunes I
have to say

Thanks Steve, glad you liked it - I think I wanted the drums quite forward on this one - It was one of those songs that came together quite quickly and as I had a few possitive comments, I didn't want to play around with it too much! [ Reply to This ]
Great stuff! &mdash 04/22/06 - 07:43:46 PM
Peter, you just made yourself a new fan. I'll check out your other stuff
soon. First I must listen to this piece about 10 more times!
Be well! [ Reply to This ]

Excellent &mdash 04/23/06 - 09:35:34 AM
Nice rhythmic pop sound to deliver a serious message. On this type of
song would like to see the lyrics. It actually does help to read them as
you listen. Your voice is very nice and rhythm guitar is great.
Good song!

Hello and thank you - I'll have a play around with some different drum sounds to soften it off a bit. Glad you liked it otherwise. All the best, Peter. [ Reply to This ]

Wah-wah &mdash 12/09/06 - 04:09:07 PM
The wah-wah guitar is a nice touch representing the urbanization of the green space? Might want to include some kind of a lead break somewhere. Could be guitar, or other solo instrument. I still hear room for piano in your songs.
Good lyrics. I really like your voice on this song also. The drums are good, especially the added punch on the down beat. [ Reply to This ]
Drums. &mdash 06/11/07 - 01:12:15 AM
I personally really like the way the drums are mixed in this. But I must admit that the drums as they are make this song sound like an 80s pop song. I happen to like that vibe, but if you want a folk rock sound you should change it. But I'm telling you not to change it because I like it as it is. [ Reply to This ]
Those Drums &mdash 06/11/07 - 06:09:29 PM
Cheers for listening - Seems a long time ago that I did this one. As I remember, the song was writen around the drum track - so I left it 'as was' really (and it was quite different to what i'd done previously). I did try a re-mix with a softer drum sound but I didn't feel it was any better really so I've left it alone. Thanks for dropping by.

Still It Goes On &mdash 12/14/07 - 07:31:23 AM
Superbly done and a great statement. It seems our fate will forever depend on running to stand still. Buy buy buy - sell sell sell - consume consume consume. Nothing is ever enough. People just have to wake up and realize conglomerates, big business and advertisers are manipulating the subconscious. Thanks for the song - I'm with you all the way! [ Reply to This ]

I really appreiciate you listening to some of my older songs - they seem to fall off the radar after a while so it's great that you're checking them out.
All the best to you
