Description:
My "tribute" to a track posted by a friend. His commentary is 100%
correct, in my estimation. Music
"On-line" is great for sharing and
listening to different genres or styles. We should'n't get "bent out of shape" because we aren't the next big thing ! We as musicians can often
become needy, and forget the reason we started making music
in the first place.

My friend has heard this simple blues track already, and dug it !

My recording concept was inspired
by the old blues "records" i listen to.

Lyrics:
When i woke up this morning
something was bothering me
i was feeling sad and lonely
and the whole wide world could see
* * i needed someone to talk to
someone to set me free
to lift my spirits higher, for all the world to see
might sound funny,but as simple as it seems, to you it's a computer,
to me it's a sunshine pumping machine

I get what i want, and what i need
24 hours a day
the words that come across that screen, take my hurt away

This song is fantastic. Witty, but not corny. Well produced - good
arrangement, great voice, and clever lyrics.

I just totally love this style - and the style of all your songs. Unfortunately,
I can't really give any constructive criticism because I just love it too
much. Maybe someone else can do that for you, I'm too impressed...

such fine blues, and I gotta agree with ziti on your voice. You got the goods on the vocal, the attitude, and fun-spirited feel throughout this whole song. I am sitting at work wishing I had my harmonic handy, 'cause listening to this makes me want to just pick it up and jam along... Definitely will D/L this tonight to do just that...

Just wait until that computer crashes and you lose all of your GarageBand files - then you'll really have blues material to sing about. lol

What elevates this piece for me - beyond your fine singing and playing - is how you have found a way to recast an old blues motif (in this case, happy blues) as a relevant contemporary story. It's this kind of performance that keeps the blues style fresh for me.

You rock, man--love your voice. The lyrics are clever and funny. Its a great piece that might benfit only from a searing guitar solo break, but I'll take it like it is, too!
