Lyrics
Up through the floorboards
into old Minerva's room
spinning dust
wielding shadow
crossing wires in the tub
coming up from the cellar
through the floorboards voices tell her...

"Minerva, you're a goddess."
"Minerva, you're a goddess."
"Minerva, you're a goddess."
"Enough with the mercy."

Your mercy's ungodly
Your mercy's ungodly
Your mercy's ungodly

wringing knuckles white as ice
setting fire to the drapes
Minerva's staying up tonight
Minerva's making her escape

"Minerva, you're a goddess."
"Minerva, you're a queen."
"Minerva, spiders bow before you."
"Enough with the mercy already."

zooom!
Cool song guys... I thought the vocal treatments were a little
much at first, but after a couple more listens I realized that the
vocals and effects are what I like most about this tune.

Now that's
What I'm talking about! Beautiful job on the vocals. Great lyrics. Wonderous song writing and production. I like Peter's voice in this genre--to my ear, the vocal has some unique sound that seems to apear in this style (as Peter's voice did in King of the Hill) moreso than other genres. I dig. Duh shizzle!

Now that's serious!
Amazing colab Peter and SIL-VER - reminiscent of some great British
bands in my past (Gentle Giant, et al). Love your vocals Peter - the
effects are perfect, and a great bed by SIL-VER. Such a strong, strong
production too. Love it!

Silver plus emerald equals priceless!
As always, unique as only SIL-ver can! You are a real master of doing this
techno-pop songs with a magical effect. PGreenstone does an awesome
vocal addition to an already magnificant song! Love PGreens' vocals on
this one more than in your last collab..but both songs are awesome!

You are both gems... SIL-ver and Greenstone emerald!

Been missin' ya, Peter...
...but here you are...

This is a great collaboration. The backing track is relentless, but there's
so much texture in it... it hits hard without becoming sludge... And
despite having so much sonic texture, it's also not busy... Every single
bit serves the song...

Kudos to SIL-ver on the track and, I'm guessing, the mix...

Y'know, I've been considering a mic preamp the past two weeks, and
I've been going back to pgreenstone tracks, thinking, "What's Peter
use? Whether clean or treated vocals, he always gets a distinct sound..."
Well, I'm not getting a PAC, but I AM listening hard to pg vocal tracks...

This is one where, just reading the lyrics (I should know better....I
should know better...) I don't see how it'll end up a cool song, and then
I listen and the total package makes sense...

Really phenomenal, guys...

THANKS EVERYONE
THANKS FOR LISTENING AND COMMENTING. I know I haven't been
around much lately. I've just been too busy with other things to be able
to do more than occasionally lurk here. I'm so glad Sil-VER came to me
with the music and asked me to collaborate with him again.

Two Macjams gods get together and their thunder is
deafening. Man. Mr. Greenstone, I think you channel another Peter here
(Murphy). I don't see the Bowie comparison here. But this Goths out pretty
well. And as I've said before, Sil-ver always makes me want to give up,
because I can't attain the heights he reaches in his composition. Heavy
duty piece of work here.
