Let me count the ways... &mdash 04/27/06 - 07:33:17 AM
How do I love this? Well, it is powerful, driving, cocksure, metal-hard
and even a little Beatles-sweet in one place. Swell syncopation. Vocal
effects work well within this context. This is a swell thing.

Puppets on Parade &mdash 04/27/06 - 08:12:42 AM
Very cool. Lots of nice details and a cool overall groove (good
combination). Puppets on Parade is what I thought it should be named,
tho; you see, in my current state I thought the name was French, La Brats,
(incorrect French at that), and then figured out (duh) that it was Lab Rats.
Just thought I share that moment of confusion with you. Its tough
listening to all this from inside my maze, you see, I get turned around
sometimes. (The only thing is that the lead vocals sometimes sound a bit
indoors, like they were recorded in a limited studio space, whereas
everything else sounds absolutely pro.) Full of edge, fun, protest, and the
pulling of cool strings.

Killer catchiness. I like the heaviness mixed with pop hooks and strutting syncopation. Like Faith No More in places and Jesus Jones in others. Excellent mix too.

Love the labrats... before they're sacrificed &mdash 04/27/06 - 11:36:03 PM
Nice going, springclock! This has a very unique kind of vibe to it. not sure
what genre to put it under but seems to span rock, alternative and pop
and punk rock altogether. Very nice melding of styles. Loved it!

Post lyrics pls, to double the pleasure of listening.

This one goes to my fav list.

Heavy Metal Hodge-Podge &mdash 04/28/06 - 07:48:56 AM
This is a great soundscape, combining a number of musical genres and
emotions in an interesting heavy metal hodge-podge.

As others have mentioned, the vocals are buried a bit in the mix, but I
also think they would fare better without the *growling* affectation.

Otherwise, this is top-notch work. ;-)

raw bounciness &mdash 04/28/06 - 04:12:22 PM
weirdness, with occasional amazingly sweet harmonies, then rugged
dune-buggy-over-the-dunes power, then... its over. What a ride...
enchantingly unusual mix of stuff, left me dizzy and smirking.

Funkified Heavy! &mdash 04/30/06 - 09:52:16 AM
Man, I really like how you mixed the funky and heavy together. Makes
the chorus very powerful. Loved the mix and the vocals.

Excellent tune, had to D/L this one!

It's akward when some one pimps and you can't find anything good to
say... not the case here... very good production, and playing, I really
like the vox, though I couldn't understand the words, as a musical
texture they were well paced... the whole thing stayed interesting
through the changes

reaal good work here

great production. i wish you'd post the lyrics. i have a hard time hearing
them on the first listen of a song for some reason.

but this is cool - has some anger, some gentleness, nice sounds. cool
guitar solo.
