Description:
rock and roll...dedicated to all the tedious meglomaniacs running our world

Lyrics:
You had it in your grasp
Then you let it lapse
Now you're putting people down
all around this town

Why don't you listen?
Yeah - God's on your side
At least that's what you see
when you look in the mirror

What will you do?
When all you've achieved
it adds up to nothing
Big fat nothing

Your lies and your sleaze
Well you do as you please
you played us for fools
Now that really ain't cool

Hey hey what do you say
play follow the leader
come what may
Hey hey what do you say
we follow the leader
every day

Hey hey what do you say
they follow the leaders
when it's not OK

Great rocknroll! &mdash 05/01/06 - 02:54:11 PM
Your tunes always hold the same good quality! I have to agree with caroline about all the little twinkles yu add! Production sounds good, but it sounds like you exceed the levels here and there. Not that it matters at all, but just in case you hadnt noticed. Your guitarplaying is wonderful, you really now what you are doing with it.....

Foggy &mdash 05/01/06 - 03:39:54 PM
Production crisp and clean - guitars solid and vox as foggy as usual : )
Always look forward to your new tunes - this departure into a more
rock feel suits your style well. Now, about the bass .............

Nice dylanesque put down song Steve! Great electric that really tells the
story. Enjoyed the dry way your voice handles the lyrics. Good one
again.

If their actions add up to nothing rather than a debit.
Very controlled performance here, good mid-60's vibe. I'm expecting John
Cale's viola to start playing on the outro. ;)

wow... guitars. always with the great guitars.

i like this sound - it's a good progression from a lot of the acoustic stuff
you've done lately (which i love too!)

i agree with neil - would love to hear some bass just to round this out.

sweet tune. nice lyrics.

I found this song on Neil Young's site while looking for a song I submitted. Congrats! This is a solid tune with a good message. I like R&B drum beat that goes with this. The guitar playing is stellar!
