Description:
This is about getting older. I re-submitted this song because it was pointed out that there were no id tags on the last upload. This has been rectified.
Lyrics:
I can do this, I can play this, I can stand here
I can rev my motor up and slam it in gear
I can take it apart and put it back together better
And when I really try, I even change the weather
The band is kicking over just like a heartbeat
the people in the front row want to move their feet.
They wanna get down and party
Everyone calls me Wally, but my middle name is Arty.
{Chourus}
I ain't getting any younger, I ain't getting any faster.
I gotta wear bi-focals, but that ain't no disaster
Moving slower is groovier, I'm a truckin' corduroy hipster
I ain't getting older, no no Just funkier.
I used to pluck the little hairs out of my eyebrow
I pluck the little hairs from my nose and ears now
What grew upon my head grows upon my *** now
It's not like anybody see's it anyhow.
I bought Doc Martens when I had my mid-life crisis
Teenage chick took my heart and iced it
I'm not so desparate, I'm much more mature
I don't know everything, But one things for sure.
I'm not getting any younger, I'm not getting any faster
I gotta wear a hearing aid, but that ain't no disaster
Moving slower is so much Groovier,
I'm a trucking corduroy hipster
I ain't getting old
Just funkier
At the club, I met a real beauty
She looked familiar and she said she thought she knew me.
Conversation was not so bad til she said,
" Oh I remember you, you went to high-school with my Dad!"
I got some action when the Doctor checked my prostate
She was gentle but it really wasn't so great
There was no foreplay, none to speak of
Is your stool firm? Sir, do you piss blood?
Repeat chourus with gusto. Or sit down and catch your breath. Your choice

Gland you got the tags filled &mdash 05/05/06 - 07:33:47 PM
Well, all the things I said about the song before still apply but I don't want
to repeat myself. I'll just sum it up and say that this is really great stuff.
Love it! [ Reply to This ]

Enjoyable mellow funk with clever lyrics &mdash 05/06/06 - 04:41:34 AM
"I got some action when the Doctor checked my prostate" Now there's a
line to love. You've got a cool smokey bluesish voice and a sense of aging
hipster irony I can really appreciate. Pro playing and production. Sounds
like you'd be a blast to come see in a blues/rock club. [ Reply to This ]

Your tune BOWLING ALLEY has no tags, as well. And, just in case, you can also
put copyright info in the "comments" section and song art for the newer iPods... [ Reply to This ]

And, Oh,
"I got some action when the Doctor checked my prostate
She was gentle but it really wasn't so great
There was no foreplay, none to speak of..."
Must have to do with getting "Rectified"?

Unexpected &mdash 10/27/06 - 04:55:10 AM
This is exactly what I did'nt expect here. Something raw, funny, not waxed but living, an original talent and a great voice, far from the formated made-up of loops. A real garage-band performing ! Absolutly great, folks ! Keep on funking !
PS : I dig the guitar solo. Powerful and simple, far away from boring technicals demonstrations. [ Reply to This ]

What? &mdash 12/28/06 - 07:38:38 PM
Outstanding, as you know, I'm sure. It's tight, funky, funny, tells a story that all post-andropausal males can relate to, and has an amazing guitar solo. In fact, my favorite part of this is that guitar solo. It's amazing. Did I say that already? I'm post andropausal, so I don't remember so good no more. yeah. Anyways, there was something amazing here, I'm pretty sure about that.
Who plays what? I mean, I know it's a team (or TEAM, as you capital freaks prefer) and all, but so are the Leafs, and I know who does what for them. At least I think I do; obviously I forget most of it as soon as I know it. But the point is, you guys are better than the Leafs. In fact, you guys should play for them. Or Sundin should play for you. Or something.
Uh... what were we talking about, again?

Liked the groove ...... &mdash 12/30/06 - 02:41:12 PM
and the self-effacing humor regarding your time travel towards ultimate conclusion on the planet of flat fives and nines. Like the sound you got on yer guitar and tonsils. [ Reply to This ]
