Description:
I came up with the idea of this song last summer, but I didn't like the version I recorded then. But this version, I think it got so much better. This is nostalgic/sentimental me singing. (lol)

Lyrics:
a little boy spread the star chart
on the old sewing machine he'd use as a table

a little boy was dreaming his future
in a little planet called earch in an infinite space

why do we keep dreaming?
a shooting star is falling knowing the dream is failing

a little boy was drawing absorbedly
a picture of a ship with a big white sail

with a pure hope and innocence as a compass in hand
a boy sailed out to boundless blue sea

why do we keep dreaming?
a shooting star is falling knowing the dream is failing

the sky got darker
and the sea became rough
the lightning of despair burned the white sail

the dream was falling into the sea in flame

the dreams the little boy dreamed
were falling from the sky burning to ashes

why do we keep dreaming?
a shooting star is falling knowing the dream is failing

I Enjoyed This Very Much &mdash 05/09/06 - 05:22:31 AM
The sound is very good Pop-Rock. The lyrics are rather depressing!

I'm going to go ahead and interpret that "lol" remark of yours as a little
man holding his arms up. Because your performance in this deserves that!
Lest I sound like a broken record I'm going to say again: You really know
how to write good songs.
It always puts a smile on my face to see an email notifying me of a new
track of yours. This case wasn't any different.
Very nice!

curious track, I have to confess I did not really like it at the beginning but then, something happened, and I'm listening to it again. The second half (just after the drum break) is fabulous. your chorus is wonderful. you definitly got something of your own

how do you do it? &mdash 05/15/06 - 08:38:15 AM
i wanna manage your US fan base :-). i try to turn everyone i know onto
you. you can write my friend. as always, many kudo's on an awesome
progression, excellent execution and a wonderful mix. in my humble
opinion its a bitch to write songs that are memorable, catchy and in a
phrase radio friendly. you do that, seamlessly, makes me think of Todd
Rundgren, Tears for Fears etc.. sorry for the comparisons, only with the
highest regards - john
