Description
This is me at an open mic at Humbletime, a local radio/internet broadcast. You can hear my voice shake. I'm nervous as hell. This taping was my "first date" with my would-be husband. They aired this on show #183. Mo Humble is having trouble securing dough for this season, I sure hope money starts growing on trees for these guys.

Lyrics
Never was much trouble
never wanted any
never set my sights on you
now I can't sleep for thinkin'
and my heart from sinkin'
with one look from you.
It was true love
first sight
star-crossed lovers
fireworks at night
butterflies when we
kiss each other
and I just might
love you all my life.
Always was a skeptic
played-out hopeless romantic
I'd given up on giving in
But what I saw in your eyes
a gift and a surprise
there's no mistaking where I've been.
chorus
And as the years keep passing
and our love lasting
I look back to the day
and that one glance
was all you had to say.

I wanted to join in the crowd applause at the end of the song. Your
voice, shake and all, sounds terrific here, Kelli. It's a lovely, sweet song
and what a nice story that this is the song you sang on your first date
with your husband.
I never mind when people say that I remind them of someone else and I
hope that you don't, but you remind me tremendously of Danielle
Howle on this song. She's one of my all-time favorite singers, so I do
mean it as an absolute compliment. Why she isn't currently ruling over
The World of Acoustic Rock(tm) I'll never know. The more I hear from
you, the more I wonder the same thing.
