Coooooool! This was mostly GarageBand and Tiger on a 17" PowerBook. I recorded the "vocals" using a utility that converts Text-to-Speech (that's Vicki, I believe) and captured the audio with Audio Hijack Pro. I edited the resulting AIFF file with freeware Audacity and then used the Apple Loops Utility to turn the vocals into an Apple Loop. The Irish harp and flute are from Apple's World Music Jam Pack. I edited and rearranged the loops to get the melody and counterpoint. I think it could use an edit or too now (I was very excited when I posted it because I had just come up with the idea of the vocals to a track I had made weeks ago) but all the parts are there. You guys are totally welcome to remix. I'll even send an archive to anyone who asks! Rock on! --- we come in peace for all online Check out my latest song called rio grande lingerie

Coooooool! P.S.: This is exactly the kind of composition the anti-loops people hate. I mean the "lyric" is an old Gallo wine commercial repurposed to twist some folk music riffs with wah wah guitar and hip hop drums. Not an original element in there. All recycled. Can't be good. I, personally, believe the musical output is more important than the ingredients. --- we come in peace for all online Check out my latest song called rio grande lingerie

Neat Sounds are really neat. I like the drone sound, it is quite different than your normal celtic drone! Good job. |

Neat That drone is the same harp as the melody, dropped down an octave and run through the Wah/Funky Wah filter with some AUMatrixReverb thrown in. Glad someone noticed! :-) Thanks. --- we come in peace for all online Check out my latest song called rio grande lingerie

As a fellow celt (Scotch background) I really dig this! I would have liked

balanced mx.
