Description:
I needed a piece for a feature we did for our TV show on an exhibit of art by Alan Bean, one of the 12 men who actually walked on the moon. The original background piece was later expanded to a full song.

the melody reminds me of a song that i cant think of the name. i can humm it but not sure typing the humm would get the thought across. has nice atmosphere that makes sense for the moon. nice layering of instrumentals and panning them. nicely done. i like what the electric guitar adds to this piece.

Thanks for your kind words. This is one of my favorite pieces and I hope it
captures the spirit of the artwork of Alan Bean. His entire moonwalk artwork
collection was on display at the Butler Institute of American Art and I found it
really interesting.
screamalexz
ahh, i'd have to see the display while listening to this to really get the impact of it.

Good tune. Open, airy and I liked the key change. Nice

Thanks. If you want to think it is more like Venus ... go ahead! I've never been
either place so I don't really know the difference. ;-)

am sure they are ready.

Thank you for commenting and thanks for listening. I also like the guitar
work on this. It was added when I expanded the piece from a background
piece for a television feature to a full piece. I changed the title to "Walking in
the snow" at one point but decided that it really was more moonscape like.
When my sister asked what it was like, I replied that it was like the moon with
bright light and deep shadows, expansive but at the same time internal like
the sound of the "footsteps" which would only be heard inside a spacesuit. I'm
not sure that was the description she wanted but that is what it's like to me.

I guess being on the moon would be a lot like an out of body experience.
I'm glad you like it and thanks for commenting.

Well I do see that you are from outer space. Maybe that is why you think this

I really like the different sounds in this and the way you've blended them together. I also like its mood. Very nice!

This is the first song I posted here on macjams and it has not gotten a comment for a long time. I also find that it remains one of my personal favorites. I feel that it has been somewhat undervalued by some of my fellow macjammers. I'm glad that you liked it.
