Description:
if you're ever 'on the chats' in macjams and THE COMPOSER' asks you if you wouldnt mind if he remixed one of your songs, do you
a) shout for joy?
b) recieve a final product that makes you think 'that's the idea i had in my head'?
c) institute a common agreement amongst your peers that 'the composer' is 'da bomb'?
or
d) post the final result where you originally met your new collaborator?
the correct answer is e) all of the above.
thanks must go to 'the composer' for helping me bring a message to the people. we have kept all original files from the crazy time when i recorded the song as i feel things like the slurred and mispronounced lyrics help maintain how pissed off i was at the time. or something like that.....i wrote it, recorded it, and mixed it like shit, he heard it, liked it, offered to remix, i said yes, the rest is as they say......fucking sweet !!!!!!!!!!!
Lyrics:
trendsetter
trendsetter
are you any better
than me X4
attention seek
u come across as piss weak
they copy your styles when they see it in a catalogue
your the leader, come on now go walk the dogs
being yourself used to be so much easier
dont beat yourself up, just blame the media
they gotta sell. And sell sell, they do it well
they pull your leash like a bitch of society
if were all diferent does that makes us all the same
something in common other than to throw the blame
chorus x 4
but is it niche if ya see it on the t.v
how long does it take for others to copy
your monkey suit with sweat shop exuberance
your mindset retails for dollars but not much sense
crack baby suicide labels will be the death
rip off the past cause you know that theres nothing left
set the trend like an arrogant american
when will it be cool to sing like an idiot
like…………. me
anti-
trendy
does this mean that what u see
is genuinely only skin deep
what the hell are we trying to achieve
wearing our money so proudly on our sleeve
chorus x 4

Outstanding &mdash 05/18/06 - 08:29:26 AM
I loved the original, so naturally I'm gonna like this one. Great job by
the two of you. Lloyd - I love your lyrics, passion, and outlook. And
Bryan is just amazing when it comes to adding his touch to other
people's stuff (not to mention how inventive he is in his own work). I'm
currently working on two songs with him that I can't wait to finish.
One thing I gotta say about this mix - that kick is KILLER. The huge
sound forms a nice bedrock foundation for the song. Great job guys.

Whoo hoo! &mdash 05/18/06 - 08:50:30 AM
Finally my first collab is up on MacJams (sorry Mason, you missed out
by mere hours)! And I still love this song (even more now I'm in it :P)
I hadn't really checked out this guy until I saw some gold comments
from him such as "I'm so Emo that my wrists cut themselves" and after
that I just had wander over here. Loved the stuff I heard (this song in
particular) and had a feeling I could improve on it... after a several
weeks of bugging him to give me the tracks to re-mix... I found a DVD
in my letter box (yep... we still use kangaroos and snail mail here in
Australia) and the rest is history.
Loved working on this track and look forward to working on some
more! [ Reply to This ]

Shades of Regurgitator (a good thing)! The production on this is
awesome Bryan - never heard the original, but this end point is
excellent. Nice one Loyd!!

Thanks Niel, for a comparison to the original in terms of production, I left the
opening of the track as Loyd originally had it which provides a nice little
contrast. The cudos still go to Loyd though cause the only part of the actual
song (not the production) I changed was the cymbal track... everything else is
as he had it. Thanks for the listens.
