Description:
Love song for a movie. I have had this melody in mind for awhile and laid it down recently. The piano is not the one recorded in the original. It's poor quality compaired to the original. Working on getting my wiring worked out in the new home studio.

even so &mdash 05/19/06 - 11:35:47 PM
there's some fuzzy and poppy noises i heard near the beginning/ with the rough quality of the recording, the beauty of the piece can still be heard. the piano is nicely written. the orchestral part fits. nice job of switching which part is intense like the piano starts of the main part then for part the strongs are more infront. makes me think of can you feel the love for some reason, perhaps cuz i learned that in piano class last year.

Thanks for listening and the feedback. I had to record this one using some GM
instruments because I haven't gotten the wiring for my system routed properly.
Still waiting for my Apogee Ensemble to come in. I will repost with the clearer
sound when I have everything in place. You say it sounds like another piece? I
have no formal training on piano and would like to hear that piece. Where would
I find it? Thanks again....

oh it doesn't really sound like the song much, just made me think of it for some reason, and i'm not sure why, but it's one of the songs on the lion king, it's by elton john. i've had some training in piano, i'm taking a piano class for the 2nd time at school, but nothing too advanced.

pure &mdash 05/23/06 - 10:11:15 PM
nice pure sounds.....seems to have a good mix....relaxing and tranquil
groove....strings remind me a bit of the Disintigration album by The Cure.
Good arrangment and the tune as a whole moves nicely....like the reverb
on the piano....keeps it from sounding so woody and choked....it really
lets it breathe....keep up the good work I enjoyed this a lot

Thanks for listening and the feedback. This is a work in progress and I really
appreciate the comments. When I get the wiring figured out for the new system I
will post a cleaner version hopefully with some changes suggestted by the
outstanding talent here at MJ.

Lush and inspirational &mdash 05/24/06 - 02:26:31 PM
Paints a broad landscape. Opening scene? Backdrop for the resolution,
the objective won, the dream about to be fulfilled, the love gained? The
ostinato tympani somehow stands out too much. Perhaps vary it more
and flank it with some tympani rolls and glissando percussion in
places. Synth keyboard could be a bit less ambient since it is the lead
"voice" at this time. Some of the high keyboard notes seem like they
are being struck with too much velocity and feel "banged upon". A few
instances (very few) of missed timing in the keyboard part. Eventually,
will there be a theme song sung over this rich panorama?

All in all, a happy and positive experience. Quite evocative.

Very Nice &mdash 05/29/06 - 09:32:58 PM
There's something so familiar about it. I think it would fit quite nicely
on one of those "Pure Moods" type collections. It has this easy New Age
vibe to it that's really easy to listen to. Thanks for sharing it.
