Nice Feel... Many Moods &mdash 06/15/04 - 10:10:21 PM
Like that little "break" thing that happens. Puts me back
on the track... Tangerine Dreamish. Then the acoustic
guitar comes in... Coolness!

cool &mdash 06/15/04 - 10:41:19 PM
this is good.

some of the guitar and beats go off in timing together
about halfway through but very pretty. i like the chord
progression.

Whole lotta love went into this &mdash 06/16/04 - 01:29:16 AM
And it shows. Not only is the framwork sturdy and evocative, but the details are truly tasty. Right down to the pops and clicks, the little nuances are like perfect seasoning.

My one criticism...the cut-off of the last note.

Giving &mdash 06/16/04 - 01:38:35 AM
Like Ray Lynch, you take me on a soft, probing journey.
Giving In in the Buddhist sense I suspect. The entrance of
the acoustic guitar solo is a hair late, otherwise the
syncopations and weaving in and out of sounds is nearly
perfect. Excellent.

Ommmmmmmmmmm &mdash 06/16/04 - 08:52:53 AM
I am now in a perfect state of relaxation.

Love the almost mechanical sounding "zap" sound. You wouldn't think it would work in something this peaceful, but id does. Also that quick little decending synth punctator -- brilliant!

make me want to dance and float. birds of solitude dive through my hair. nicely balanced arrangement. an ocean of rhythms and reptead motiffs. all you need is artwork! because this is art.

timing shmiming &mdash 06/17/04 - 04:22:27 PM
well i didnt seem to notice any timing problems...
heh but i'm temporally challenged.

i like this piece. the little break in the end its as if after
some struggle with a samsaric problem you find light. a
break in the fabric of depression. you are climbing
through from it.

shedding the skin of issues.
wings are unfolding.....
and.....
ack.

it stops abruptly.
hmm.

i was humming like a tibetan monk through some of this
and it worked really well.

i'm glad you wrote this.

thank you.

Mmmm... &mdash 06/21/04 - 08:09:32 PM
After about 10 seconds I realized I needed to put my
headphones on for this one.

I really love all the colours. You give enough of each to
give our ears a chance to focus on it and then--voila! A
new colour. Sounds like you really took your time on this
one. Beautiful.

I did notice the out-of-synch-ness (asynchronicity?) of the
guitar and synth lines, but to me it added an air of
realness to it all. Sure my one brain started yalping, but
the other brain said "ahhhh...."

I need more of this...

VERY nice &mdash 06/22/04 - 10:46:09 AM
This reminds me of Kitaro and a bit of Vangelis. I really
like your choice of sounds, especially the quick,
descending synth line which recurs; sounds almost like an
oboe swelling at the end. I would like to hear perhaps just
a bit more melodic variety in this "spice", though. Either
that or use it just a bit less.

Excellent use of varied percussion effects. Nice alternation
of sections.

You create an excellent mood with this piece, though, and
I really didn't notice anything out-of-synch. Very tasteful
production all around!

booooring! &mdash 09/23/04 - 12:57:43 AM
You know. This may not be my favorite song. It's nice and mellow, some of
the loops seemed almost too slowed down from their original tempos.
Overall however it was nice.

But really, what kind of crack were you smoking to make a comment like that?

LOL. Thanks Normal!
We've already discussed this... he was having a bad day. But nothing that a
little Lou Reed and a beer can't cure. :)

contemplatively driving? &mdash 11/01/04 - 12:08:30 PM
This song was one of the first I heard here on MacJams,
and got me hooked. Very rich, melodic, and nice
interplay. It instills a mood of introspection, but at the
same time, the realization of needing to pick up and keep
going. I am walking along a dark, straight tree-lined
path, drained of caring, but every once in awhile the
sunlight glitters through the leaves and stirs a trace of
hope I had forgotten I had. Thank you for sharing this
one! It's difficult to give objective feedback on this... um,
the only thing I might change is that because the GB
guitar effects are so repetitive (they show up on the same
notes each time around) I'd vary the main guitar part ever
so slightly each time it comes up, to make it sound more
human-played.

Lovely mood &mdash 11/09/04 - 08:00:18 PM
I like the space you put me in while listening. Nice
changes and colors. You're right, we should do something
together!

superb &mdash 01/06/05 - 11:30:13 PM
Love that guitar, I guess it is a synth.
Great sounds
There is that electric feeling. Like how you add that
electric buzz just in the right pieces.

I am learning from you synth people upon hearing the
wonderful tones that go in and out from ear to ear when I
am wearing my earphones.
Thanks again for the wonderful musical jouney!!
Your getting a higher rating that what's up there for sure!

Me likes this here song. &mdash 08/24/05 - 06:37:49 PM
I found this song very pleasant to listen to! I immidiately
dug the electronic beats and textures. I recognize a
GarageBand loop or two in there, and I think you integrated
them quite well. What really got me though was the acoustic
guitar break...very nice.

Loverly... &mdash 09/15/05 - 12:59:59 AM
... music. I really like what you did here. The timing
problems only come out because this piece is electronic
and everything otherwise lines up so smoothly. It doesn't
harm the musicality of the tune, but I think the idea of the
song as an electronic song that is off-time a bit is what
gets me. Personal problem, good song.

Keep on rockin.
