Description:
this is an acoustic song i recorded @ a studio & dropped in to garageband & added a bass line with octopus & a backing effected vocal track to - this is an edited mix the first mix had some funky drums which were deleted & i backed the bass line off a bit to spotlite the basic song - i really wouldn't mind being the last man on earth - people bassically suck!

Lyrics:
v1 - after all these years & i haven't figured it out - you'd think that after all this time my heart would be reaching out - but i just keep to myself holding all of this in, when the sun goes down i come out then -
chorus1- there is no get set, it's happening now, love's not far away & there's nothing i regret oh no -
v2 - hey little pretty with your butterfly wings - you're skipping by while i sing - not if you're the last man on earth with no one, never heard the trumpet call -

i agree that people basically suck. the effects on the vocals may be a little too much. the multiple vocal tracks make it sound experimental, which is cool, gives a bit of an on the moon feel to me. i wish you had the lyrics posted. like the picture. in a way the vocals remind me of joshosh over all a nice track.

hey scream - thank you so much for your honesty - yeah the effected vocal trak
is somewhat out there for the simplicity of this song - but i do like trying
different approaches to my vocals even if it's kinda strange @ first listen - i
appreciate your wanting to read the lyrics so i've just posted them for you my
cyber friend <^>

its good to experiment, i often make simple recordings to keep myself occupied you commented on one of them, and i tend to use effects on those and do alot of weird background noises to take away from the simplicity. sometimes i think one could make an entire cd of one song, and it's sad that often artists just settle on one version. i think it'd be cool to hear this in an experimental form like this and then a more raw form. good job, and thanks for posting lyrics :)

Pretty cool effect on the vocals, but somewhat distracting in some parts.
Maybe less effect. Good lyrics, and very good arrangement of music.
Good mix.

hey j - many thanks for your kind & honest comments - i agree the fx on the
backing vocal trak is a trite bit distracting - it started doing some sort of
backward clip on the second verse & i left it be for intrinsic anti-beautality -
never predictable that old mulli -
