Awesome tone!!
Love the tone you are getting out of that guitar--can you describe your amp and pedal (if any) set up. I also love your technique--you are an awesome player with some killer chops.

Awesome tone!!
Thanks, jpfeiff! Believe it or not it's the 345 plugged directly into the iMac
Audio input with no preamp. I use compression set to '0' (far left), Overdrive,
Amp with just a bit of Pre-Gain and EQ to get that sound.

Great job
Really cool groove. You really can play some riffs. Sound is great. Since
it's instrumental, a change of theme would be even more awesome, but as
is, it is a great jam.!!

Nice playing
Really nice tone on this tune. Suggestions ... Center the lead guitar
instead of the rythym guitar. With phones on the placement just seems
odd and the lead does not seem dead center. Some work on the drum
track could add interest to the cut as well. Some hits to follow the
guitar lead could be really cool and some "solo drum" during the break
would be cool too. But hey ... do your music your way and pay no
attention to me if you don't want to!

Nice playing
Thanks for your comments announcer. The riff gtr is at 11:00 and the lead is
at 1:00. I know what you mean about the lead being centered which I usually
like, however it doesn't bother me with this one tp have it off center. But your
comment got me to listen to it through headphones which I realize I rarely
do! It's a good way of getting another take on the mix.

Nice playing
I mix on phones and then take that mix to other systems (car, my studio,
wife's car, personal CD player) to compare what I did to what I THINK I did.
The Ipod revolution has really made a good phone mix much more important
than it was just a few years ago. A good car mix is also important, but I am
not sure that placement in the stereo field is as critical in that environment.
What is more important there is a good bite to the bass because so many car
systems over-boost the lowest octave but do it at the expense of the upper
bass frequencies.

Amazing
that you get that killer tone with such a simple GB setup. Definitely making the most of available resources!

I'm thinking you've got to shake it up some, tho'. The background licks have a cool sound but they're not enough to sustain the tune. You break it up a tad when you fall back on the drums/bass midway but it needs more drama than that. The lead is cool. You're pushing it out to the edge and what good is it if there's no danger, right? (grin)

Hate to say it, bro', but you're going to have to sing or find someone who can. I'm in the same boat. I love to play but I'll starve if I have to sing for my supper. You've got some nice moves. I'm betting a collab with someone could work out well.

Amazing
Thanks for your thoughts, Alan. I'll look at putting another break in. Re: a
singer, it's definately a guitar solo piece, not a singer's song.
