Description
Another all-MIDI original - 100% instrument free. I wrote the intro on guitar and composed the rest in my head on my daily drive to work. I wanted to experiment with building a song with different moods and sections using the same finite set of riffs in C/D. It was neat to hear what happened when the bassline switched with the clean guitar then with the organ melody.
The song itself was inspired by a mental image of an old pickup truck driving down a dirt road with the windows open, a dog in the front seat and a weary country gent behind the wheeel heading home as the sun sets. He's a solemn fellow. Hard labour has made him grim but in his heart he guards a quiet joy and a thankfulness for the things he has - his land, his home, his family. He rises before dawn each morning and puts in a hard day - every day. Lately he's noticed the heat in his back a little more often, a little more acutely. He's no longer a young man and his body knows it. Still, he's content and he reckons things are as they should be.
He'll go to sleep the same way he does every night - with a whispered prayer and a smile in the darkness.

very nice, the guitar sound you get is really choice. the switching of the
lines to different instruments came off great. yet, the coolest thing is
the story board you paint. if you've written any thing tell me where I
can read it. this is sweet, nice job
