Description:
Here's another selection from a live recording of a rock opera entitled, "Hypothesis". When you have an operatic soprano in the cast, you get crazy ideas in your head about what you can write for her. Fortunately she was very helpful in making me understand what would and would not sound good! You should've heard my original vocal lines for her! Mind numbing. This tune takes place in the first act. For more info on the opera, goto: http://www.hypothesis-rock-opera.com This tune features Christine CS Walker and BJ Johnson on vocals and Joe Davis on guitar.

Hardware:
4 adats, a sound crew, lots of blood sweat and tears, plenty of laughter

Software:
DP, GB

great tune &mdash 06/17/04 - 09:24:19 AM
love the part a piano riff and shorted phrases, the part b unusual meter, and then the blues vamp with the rising baseline. i'd love the guitar to be louder. great playing. nice wah. the way the song fades without knowing what will happen is... makes me long for a song ending. i wish i could see the whole show!

Rock opera lives &mdash 06/17/04 - 12:12:00 PM
This is incredibly entertaining. I smiled all the way thru at
the inventiveness, the way the theatre from the late 80s
was melding into my roots as a Superstar lover, Chess and
Stephen Schwartz, and now Giovanni. And then the
soprano started wailing over the power guitar, very cool. I
really like your Hypothesis URL too. Nice song samples!

Energizing! &mdash 06/17/04 - 12:54:15 PM
Great song! I keep wanting to SEE your productions
onstage! What a kick!

All the usual elements of a song come together VERY well
in this one. Love the piano and the soaring soprano.

Excellent, excellent.

Impressing. Sounds like Meat Loaf. Very nice!

Wow! &mdash 07/05/04 - 12:08:59 PM
Christine has a fantastic voice! I'm captivated by her voice!

I love the sound of this piece; your guitarrist has the rock opera sound perfectly down. (I grew up a fan of Alan Parsons; if you had thrown any horns into the mixture, I would have known that you're him in disguise.)

This music is glorious, and I appreciate that you shared it.

Between Kansas and Meat Loaf &mdash 12/13/04 - 12:06:18 PM
I hear lots of influences, but that's not a bad thing.

Great production. This sounds like a seriously good piece
of music.

Back to the future &mdash 02/11/05 - 06:40:04 AM
Take me back in time with an opera about the future. Like
the retro moment in Fifth Element when the big blue
opera singer mesmerizes the audience. I always wanted
Pavorati to do a duet with Frank Zappa... kind of like
Freddy Mercury's dream show.
