Description:
The awesome instrumental "Culiq Remixed" by LWinston has all the makings of a great dance song. This is my second vocal collaboration with Lloyd, which is totally different style-wise from our first collab "Gone."

Lyrics:
LOVE IS ALL
Lyrics and vocals by Leon
Music by Lloyd Winston

Ooohhh...

(1)
Don't look at me
i can not read you
I know that love is hiding
in the shadows of disguise
(2)
Don't look at me
I can't resist you
I know that love is burning
in the darkness of those eyes

(Chorus 1)
You can tell me what you think
send a message in your stare
And you push me to the brink
and leave me long for you to dare
Chorus 2:
I'm waiting that you may
really want to to know my name
I wish you'd open up to say
that you are thinking of the same

(Refrain)
Love is all
we always have to look for it
Love is all
we always have to hope for it
Love makes us whole
'cause that is what makes us say our prayer
and make us live with passion everyday
(...dream for heaven everyday)

(2)
You look at me
I can't resist you
I know that love is burning
in the darkness of those eyes
(3)
You look at me
And you fulfill me
you search inside my soul
and there is nowhere I can hide
(4)
You look at me
And you amaze me
You make me filled with all
emotions burning up inside

(Refrain)
Love is all
we always have to look for it
Love is all
we always have to hope for it
Love makes us whole
'cause it is what will save our day
and make us wish for heaven everyday

(Chorus 1 & 1 overlap):
You can tell me what you think
send a message in your stare
And you push me to the brink
and leave me longing for your dare

(Chorus 2 & 2 overlap):
I'm waiting that you may
really want to to know my name
I wish you'd open up to say
that you would want to play my game

(Refrain - extended overlap):
Love is all
we always have to look for it
Love is all
we always have to hope for it
Love makes us whole
'cause that is what makes us say our prayer
and make us live with passion everyday

Ooohhh...
LOVE!

Great vocals
Thanks, Vic! I know this kind of music is bordering on superficial as it is a pop-
dance song, but i'd like to thank you for looking beyond the genre and
appreciating the time and effort that was placed in it to make it sound good. My
voice was really on when I recorded it so to me, this song is one of my most
satisfying recordings. LWinston, did a really find job with the instrumental mix!

Here's a Testament to your song ...
My 11 year old son started to dance in his chair when I was playing this ... he didn't notice me noticing ... (this kid NEVER dances) .... you two work well together .... Leon ... GREAT VOCALS as usual ..... I especially like the vocal overlap parts ... nicely done !

Wow, Alannah, thanks! This may not be my most profound song, but I have to
say this is the one of the finest dance songs I have written and sang. The cool
instrumental background by LWinston is one of the most energetic loop songs I
have ever heard in Macjams, and I really like my vocal innovations on this song.
Thanks so much for appreciating it!

By the way, your son I think has an extremely good taste in music! Hahaha!

Awesome!
man, this nearly slipped under my radar.
It REALLY pisses me off that in the UK music charts, there is so much
second rate pop/ soul/ R&B, and here you are, producing music of this
calibre!

Your vocals really do keep just getting better, impassioned but still under
control. But you know what sets you apart - your voice and lyrics impart a
true passion and spirit, not the fake emotion that you get in so much
contemporary music.

Loved it!

Awesome!
Thanks again, Steve. You have become a source of motivation for me. An
awesome artist like you appreciating my song is priceless! This song is pop
through-and-through, and sometimes the time and effort put into this genre is
not appreciated by other people who see it as bubblegum music. For me, this
dance song (and my other song "Gone") is just to expand my experience in
different styles of music. They are all very challenging, both creatively and
vocally.

At this point in my experience as a musician, I am nowhere near the point you
are at, but you have given me the greatest encouragement to give it my best.
Thanks so much for that!

Awesome!
Hah! false modesty man - if you saw me trying to play a keyboard or guitar, you'd laugh (thank god for quantization), and anyway, i'm too long in the tooth to make a go of it now.

Seriously, you shine Leon - I expect big things from you.

Excellent
Very strong track with a great powerful beat and very crisp sounds.
Compulsive and impossible to keep still to. I really like the vocals that
weave in and out of each other towards the end ... very nicely done!

Excellent
Thanks, Rebsie! This song is a product of a day in a dancing mood, and I
thought if there is song I would like to dance to in a club, this is the way it
should sound. It was all LWinston's fault! :-)

(Truth is I had to convince him to agree that his dance instrumental sounded
cool with vocals)

Funky pop!
Well...this has a real commercial pop sheen and energy to it...the
performance is very assured. You have real soul in your vocals...but you
don't go too overtop with the vocalising which is nice. I like the synthy
bass bit which sneaks in there. I think that this could be a serious
commercial hit if you hawked it around some record labels. Go for it!

Funky pop!
Hey, thanks, Steve! This song sounded polished because of Lwinston
meticulousness in his arrangement and also because I spent a little more time
with the vocals. Thanks for your encouragement to try hawking this
commercially. I feel emboldened with your remarks. :-)

enjoy the vocal
like that beginning high vocal sounds. I hear a madonna feel here. Nce
trils and stretches with the voice.

Cool

Thanks for taking time to listen and comment, Tiler!

Funny that you mentioned the Madonna comparison, 'cause I did realize that
after all the vocals and melodies were completed, the song does sound like a
Madonna dance track, except with a male voice and wider range. I think it's
mainly because of the infectious rhythm laid out by Lloyd. Not much of a
Madonna fan here, but I think she is the greatest dance artist of all time, so it's a
BIG compliment. :-)

Good vocal
I liked the vocals - you have a good range!. The bass line is good and
strong too. I like strong bass lines. It is a bit 80's but the good stuff -
with a twist. nice. I also like the into of the synth 3/4 way through.

what a presence
Leon, stellar job. Mr LWinston lays down some terrific grooves and
you've graced this one with some phenominal pipes. As others have
commented it has some genuine commercial traction, and i second-
triple that. The blending of your tracks keeps it movin. Very skillfully
done.
