Lyrics
“Information Desk Girl” (1999)

Information desk girl
You can cure my naivete
Information desk girl
Tell me where I am and show me the way
I thought I'd made a wrong turn
When fate showed me to your sign just then
Now your face is etched on my eyes
And I can't wait 'til I'm confused again

Information desk girl
(Where can I find you?)
Information desk girl
(How can I find you?)

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooh…

I came back the next day
Thought up a problem maybe you'd understand
You thought this pamphlet might help me out
And when you passed it to me, felt you brush my hand
You're beautiful and polite
And I hope that I don't seem too bizarre
But I don't know how many times
I can get away with asking where the bathrooms are

Information desk girl
(Where can I find you?)
Information desk girl
(How can I find you?)

The reason that I went to college
Forever-reigning queen of knowledge
Never mock my careless folly
Purity and love embodied
I would ask you if I was able
To come out from behind your table now

OoooOOooOoOooooOOOh….

Information desk girl
You'd think I'm a nutcase and you'd think I'm insane
So for now you'll live in mind
And one of these days I'm gonna find out your name
Information desk girl
You can cure my naiveté
Information desk girl
Tell me where I am and show me the way

Information desk girl
Information desk girl

OooooooooooOooooooooOooooh…..

Tell me where I am and show me the way

Too Much Information . . .
I don't think so.

Nice job. I liked the melody, guitars, the ending and the lyrics. Good
job.

Reminds me of Barenaked Ladies somewhat.

This reminds me of a "Weird Al" original. Just so you know, I say that as a compliment since I happen to be a "Weird Al" fan.

as someone who is limited to doing instrumentals, I absolutely love it
when someone posts a great real time Pop track. great job on the
recording technique. everything is balanced and right up front. the
