Description:
Well-- I, like springtime flowers, am packing up and moving somewhere new as the summer season nears. I'm actually moving tomorrow--so I thought I would throw this song on here since I'll be away for quite some time.

This song is dedicated to tulips, lilacs, and all other springtime lovelies.

Lyrics:
Springtime Mourning
Words and music by arin

One by One -you'll fly away
Piece by piece- your colors will fade
Inch by Inch-Your stature doesn't stay the same
Cell by Cell- your life is shrunk away

Fading away-
It's a Springtime Mourning
Here today
But soon flying far
Floating away
On a springtime mourning.
Not long to play-
But only a little while...
On a spring mourning.

Day by day-Is how you live your life
Sway by Sway-the wind causes you such strife
You try to say-Just slow down and enjoy
You have your way- When we feel young again-
Until You're-

Fading away-
On a Springtime Mourning
Here today
But soon flying far
Floating away
It's a springtime mourning.
Not long to play-
But only a little while...
On a spring mourning.

Bridge:
The Sunshine greets you and you smile.
The rainfall bathes you for a while.
The young hands find you, you are taken.
Your thirst is met- you are rewakened.

Fading away-
It's a Springtime Mourning
Here today
But soon flying far
Floating away
On a springtime mourning.
Not long to play-
But only a little while...

Fading away-
On a Springtime Mourning
Here today
But soon flying far
Floating away
On a springtime mourning.
Not long to play-
But only a little while...
On a spring mourning.

One by one- you'll fly away
Piece by piece- you're colors will fade

Lovely &mdash 05/30/06 - 01:06:41 PM
It was an Arin song from the first piano notes. This is absolutely
gorgeous singing, harmonizing, production and playing. I love the
underlying meaning of the song, that we all fade away, like the flowers.
It's a really nice extended metaphor. I'm especially impressed by your
prodution. It's pristine.

My only suggestion is to bring the level down on the percussion in the
left ear a tad.

What everyone else says... &mdash 05/30/06 - 02:29:33 PM
except I'm speechless. A song about spring SHOULD have something about mourning - makes it feel real and special.

Vocals in the Center! :) &mdash 05/30/06 - 03:09:13 PM
What a delicate but sure touch you have.
I enjoyed the singing very much. I think this might sound better with the
putting the drums further back in the mix, they seem a bit heavy
(although about 2/3 of the way I couyld hear where you might want to
bring them forward again for dramatic effect).

Springtime girl &mdash 05/30/06 - 03:19:24 PM
I'm always delighted when I notice that you've done a new track. I simply love your lightfooted voice, that is so honnest and charming. Honnestly, I must say that this is not the best song I've heard from you, although the production quality has evolved tremendously. I miss that 'springtime girl' which I found in your song 'My Day' (can't figure out why it was rated so low!). Nevertheless, always glad to hear your voice again.

Arin:
That was really good. I like the way you let the song breathe; it was not
full out all the time..and your voice is very crystaline...Sounded very
professional to me and better than most of whats out today...Peace and
Light to you, Norman

Quality vocal &mdash 05/30/06 - 07:05:38 PM
Nice harmony. Good lead vocal quality, sounds very good. Pretty nice
song. There are certain areas like in the bridge where it seems the music
is offbeat or the vocals are, one of the other. Other than that, it is
produced very well, quality vocals always help in a song no matter what
else happens. Good job.

Great for listening &mdash 05/31/06 - 06:02:11 PM
I really like this, Arin.

This carries a real joyful and longing mood to it. You remind me a little bit
of Katie Todd and Danna Richards ( http://edcommunity.apple.com/

Distinctive Voice &mdash 06/03/06 - 12:02:31 PM
That fits this piece very well. The harmonies were quite well done. The
melody is a bit repetitive for my taste. I liked the break 2/3rd through. As
someone else commented, you have a nice touch with letting this piece
'breathe' .
