Description:
a song about the world

Lyrics:
All around me got the light of the world
Got the weight of the load
Eyes on the road
I can hardly see
Through this misery
That's been chained to me
Can't forget my past
Though it's moving fast
You know my love will last
Through the trouble and pain
The pouring rain
And I'll be back again

When you find that the world is extreme
That it's not what it seems
Hold on to the dream
If you want rearrange
If you want it to change
The world's becoming strange
I can see that we're lost
We're paying the cost
Don't know what to trust
And the trouble remains
In the pouring rain
But I'll be back again

Thanks for posting this. I went to listen to it in iTunes last night and
found that the original file was missing, then I went to iComps to get it
again and the server was down for maintainence.

Seems you made your entrance with dignity. Really enjoyed listening to this. And so I did more than once.

Good song &mdash 06/01/06 - 06:32:29 PM
I enjoyed this song. Solid lyrics. And I liked your vocal delivery.

Was it a creative choice to centre all the instruments and the vocals in the centre of the stereo field? The song may benefit from some instrument spatial separation.

Becuase your lyrics are relatively short, I understand why you sing the first verse twice. More musical changes would have made the song more interesting for me.

Good job overall.

Yeah...I was hoping there was going to be a lead... &mdash 06/02/06 - 06:53:27 AM
...reminds of me of the Velvets on "I Heard Her Call My Name", or any
number of Richard Lloyd leads...

I really like the opening rhythm guitar tone. The drum beat is perfect for
the song, and then your vocal over the top is perfectly phrased. Great
groove.

stoned.... immmaculate &mdash 06/02/06 - 01:11:44 PM
I was poimted to this by the post lisa put up, and it was certainly worth
the investigation.

Love the guitar sound, really dark and melancholic. The vocal actually
reminded me a bit of Lloyd Cole - the whole song has a kinda 80's feel,
and is right up my street.
This song slouches along with real attitude, and then the spiky gutar solo
sticks two fingers at you and saunters off.

Great work, hope to hear more soon.
