Everything was hunky dory at the Museum of Natural history, when Eric leaned on a giant dinosaur skeleton (well, not the actual bones, but castings of them) and the precariously balanced assemblage crumbled like a house of cards. In what can only be described in terms of a Rube Goldberg cause and effect sequence, the bouncing pachycepalosaurid skull hit another display of cretaceous fauna and began a chain reaction of destruction. A Simonson-Zweick temporal reconstruction of the event was replayed in exceedingly slow motion for the jurors, who eventually acquitted Eric on the grounds that his brain chemistry had been adversely affected by the octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane fumes slowly leaking from the entymology exhibit. I liked this cool tune, dude.

The opening sounds like...
...you were jumping up and down on your computer - hope the making
of this track wasn't that stressful!

Seriously, I really go for that combination of 'noise' with the blips and
eerie keyboard. Some great crunchy sounds (a bit like listening to
yourself munch cornflakes)! Stonking production job - I'm truly
impressed.

Stunt

PS - Why do you use the video camera for recording keyboard?

The opening sounds like...
Glad ya liked it, Stunt.

The videocamera has been a pretty good way to get sound into the computer
without a mic or direct line hookup. (I haven't figured out how to hook up my
old Casio to the computer yet, so this was a quick solution that I came up with.)
One thing I do like about recording this way is that I can hear my fingers hitting
the keys! It adds a great subtle rhythmic element in there... also, I can take the
camera all over the place and record stuff and I don't have to be tied to the
computer.

zizzer quake
what a piece of original in-you-face broken beat. recycling is great. once again I'm amazed by the different layered beats. full of werd details, I need another shot. and then, another one. and another one.

i like my Nutz.....
...... with a little salt.
man o man Eric. nice one again. i love the sound of the casio....... those harsh percussives are of course, to my tastes......
i can't say enough about your tracks. and i love that you 'field record' that is so cool. something i used to do, but got back into the lazy musician thing...... boo hooo. those screams.... your kids? fun. but this has a whacky, dark humor to it. again- wonderful percussives. wonderful melodic...... and wonderful track. sorry it takes a while to get a listen. i'm bogged down at AP - pleasently so. but i love to hear my favs here at MJ.

Very Good
Ha...somehow "Very Good" doesn't do it. I pictured this big cartoon whale
with a big happy face dancing around on the tiniest, but busiest, legs
you've ever seen. I know: whales don't have legs. This one did. All the
little virks and plints were his tiny little feet going crazy like a James
Brown video on FF. Then the big whale would get this funny smirk on his
face and then "BLOM!" bounce on his ass. Give those little legs a break.
Fun. Downloaded and shrink-wrapped for future generations.

boop boop beep the giant robots are marching
and someone lit the fuse of the bomb that may blow them up if they can
be convinced to stand over the bomb!!!
Maybe they need to be need to be given some reason to stand over the
bomb, but that would put our heroes, Bat Boy and Mighty Thigh Girl, in
danger. But they are willing to sacrifice themselves for the survival of
mankind and cheese doodles.
... to be continued?

love it. Too, too cool. Love it. Don't know what the screaming
vibraphone sound is but it is chilling. And I love the beat change after
that. Thanks for giving it to us! xxoo, kelli

That screeching sound is the wheels on one of my kids' toddler toys... I always thought the sound was pretty horrid (and yet so interesting)... so I just had to use it!

Saw you come up on the site and clicked through to check out your stuff. Being a newbie, I am still exploring the breadth of the "community" or "hive" as I like to call it. Glad to hear that there are people here who are really out there on the bleeding edge of sound design and experimentation. Came...listened...oh sh!T my a$$ is in next week!
