Description:
This song is about missing my friends. I moved east some years ago and I think about my friends from Kansas as I'm sure they think about me so I put it in a song. I live in PA now and life goes on....Here's my song about my "Midwestern Friends".

Lyrics:
Title: Midwestern Wind

Midwestern wind come and take me home. I’ve got to find my friends.
I left there long ago. You know I haven’t taken much time to call.
But lord knows I’m missing you all. My Midwestern friends.

Midwestern wind, now take me back to yesterday.
When we were always together.
And having fun in our young days.

I remember we use to hang In moms back yard,
Now we’re all grown up and live so far apart
My Midwestern friends. - Midwestern friends

Midwestern wind, take me home. Please find my friends.
Let them know I miss them so.
Midwestern wind take me back to yesterday.
Now there’s not much time that goes by
With out thinking about you all.

My Midwestern friends. My Midwestern friends.

Take me home Midwestern wind

i like the lyrics, i like your voice, i like the guitar and i am impressed with the production - i can't say fairer than that!! your song made me sad for all the friends that i have scattered around the world - i liked it when we all lived in the same little village although i guess we still do - it's just that the village spread out a little further! thank you for sharing x

Michael House and the Heartbreakers? A bit of Tom Petty in this? So very
very good! Great lyrics, vox and guitar. Yup. It rocks.

Be well friend!

liking the vocal style, tho at spots i think it could be expressed more. there are parts where the emotion shines through nicely. n8ice guitar playing. im moving away from my friends to the midwest so will probably be able to relate to this soon.

Cool sounds &mdash 06/03/06 - 04:10:28 PM
Like the country feel, really like that country slide fuzz sound. Cool
harmonization in the key spots as well. The whole tune is a joy to listen
to.

Way to go!

Thank you Mr. Furner. This song is true and from the heart and I'm happy
you liked it. I had a lot of fun tracking this song and playing slide guitar,
which I must say I don't do enough of. I have always liked the slide guitar
sound but never incorporated it into any of my songs until this one. Thanks
again for your comment.

Midwestern honesty &mdash 06/14/06 - 09:30:13 AM
I dig your vocals on this one, and especially the guitar licks. After
recently returning from Wisconsin, there is nothing like the open honesty
and daily joys expressed so certainly by midwesterners. Your straight
forward tune captures all that. The levels are quite as balanced as my
ears were wanting, tho, with your vocals a little too loud in the mix, the
guitar too soft, the drums and bass buried a bit. Nice solid tune.

All recorded on a 4 track that can't be repaired (Mix) I'm okay with that and I
am moving on.

Thanks for listening Tobin.

Country rock is more like it. Guitar is high octane!
Vocals and harmonies are topnotch. Awesome, guys!
