Description
Every year at my voice recital, I always pick a fun song for my last piece for some pleasant contrast to the traditional arias and art songs and all that. This year's selection is from Gilbert & Sullivan's Princess Ida.
The song is sung by King Gama just after arriving in the court of King Hildebrand. This song is about his favorite joys in life. ;)
Singing while putting on an extreme character voice while also hunched over using a cane was quite a challenge. Enjoy.
(BTW, this is from the same concert as the live recording of "Then Slumber Hold Me Tightly".)
