This is beautiful work. The intro reminds me a great deal of a song by
a band called Japan. I'm not sure if you're familiar with them or not.
They're from the early to mid 80s. Anyway, they have a song called
Night Porter that sounds strikingly similar to the beginning of this
wonderful song. The piano has a beautiful and rich sound. Very very
nice work. You are quite an artist and a fine addition to MacJams. This
is the only work I've hear from you so far, but I intend to check out
anything else you have to offer us. Keep up the great work! Peace!

I will ask a pop music friend of mine to let me hear Japan's song. This chord
progression started as some venting because the piece is about a old family
friend who is dying, but it's become something a little more hopeful in the last
few recordings I've met. I hope to add some more layers to the piece once I
orchestrate it for Violin, Cello, and Piano for a commission I'm working on this
Fall.
