This is more lounge than hip-hop to me (to my pleasure, I must admit). Very moody and relaxed beat. The bass drum seems to dim the other sounds and instruments everytime it is hit. Probably some 'auto-correction' feature within the application or by downmixing to MP3. I dig the simplicity of the track. Also, the structure of this song is built up excellently.
