Song Description

The piano is singing "Saturday 4 AM". Even though it's in 7/4, it's intended to flow like night fading into dawn.

saturday 4 a.m.
where are you? here i am.
being me. far away.
silently.

Now I am very surprised that this didn't too well. It seems to be what folks like now. Modern sound with a good beat, varied percussion, lots of instruments. I don't like this style but even so I do think this is very good and catchy. Hope you get more hits and some attention for it.

thanks for listening - it's OK if it's not your style all the same

but now we've made this song not the worst thing i've submitted here! hmmm... not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing... :-)

I think .. &mdash 04/07/07 - 08:32:42 PM

.. this is perfect as incidental music between sequences in a film .. it has that unobtrusive quality (which may explain lack of active commenting on it).

I think you did a fine job. The drums, bass and
plucky synth working particularily well together ..
nice use of fade-up on that too ..

As a 'song' as such, you'ld expect it to lead to
something 'more' rather than cycle and fade away
quietly.

7/4 .. well that would be experimental for me a 4/4
guy with occassional 3/4 input ..

I give you 6 7 7 6 on these grounds.

yeah, it's a "moment in time" sort of piece. movie music has been intriguing me - have you seen "Carpool?"

odd time sigs happen to me occasionally. they're fun because the usual formulas generally dont apply.

thanks for listening and for the thoughtful comments

Gee - How'd I miss this gem? &mdash 04/07/07 - 10:39:44 PM
Sorry Smokey - you're gonna have to suck a lot worse than this to bottom out in my book. I kinda dig the Exotica thing happening here.
