Description
This is me playing for 5 torturous minutes.
This is the Bass Line I wrote played on the piano. This is an example of just how bad my playing is. I haven't removed any of the crap.
It vexes me to no end that what I can hear in my head cannnot be performed with my clumsy fingers!
It's still fun.

About 25-30 years ago I didn't know much about music, yet I had this
crazy notion that I wanted to be a composer, so I used to go to a local
music school where you could rent piano practice rooms by the hour,
and record myself improvising badly. The recordings were made on a
crappy little cassette recorder. My plan was to listen at home to the
cassettes I was recording, and try to edit them in some way into a
musical composition.
Basically, that never really happened, but I think I probably got
something out of the experience anyway. Luckily for me, since I lack
piano chops, computer sequencers started coming onto the market
right around then, and, as soon as I could afford it, I bought a
computer and a notation programme, and my musical ideas were no
longer limited by my lack of performing skills. I also began taking as
many classes as I could in music, and that helped a lot too.
Long intro, I know (sorry!), but this kind of reminds me of those early
days, although I suspect this sounds a lot better than the stuff I used
to play. In fact, rather than use words like "bad," "crap," and "clumsy"
to describe this, I'd say it has a lot of potential. I don't know if you
have a sequencer (I'm not familiar with the equipment you list), but if
you do, there should be no reason that you can't produce music that
sounds like you want it to, with some work.
