Woot! &mdash 06/19/06 - 10:07:55 AM
The reason I haven't done anything with this one is that it doesn't adequately tell the story as it appears to blame the military. What you don't see is the scene in the video that shows Cheney and a bunch of generals cutting a cake at a defense plant.
Redd Foxx line: "I was in the war. I was in the front line. I ran away so fast I even caught up with the generals."
Anyway, thanks for posting it. [ Reply to This ]
Bravo &mdash 06/20/06 - 10:57:14 AM
Congratulations by your value when exposing this so sensible subject in
the U.S.A.. I am totally in agreement with your position. Music has a great
force and one adjusts to the dramatic atmosphere of the war that exists
at the moment in Iraq.
Hopefully that somebody puts sanity to this world

one hell of a track &mdash 06/20/06 - 02:27:44 PM
I'm not sure about your mutual contribution to this. Was Alan just playing guitar (astonishing by the way) and adding some voice, or was his envolvement in this track a lot bigger? Either way, this is one hell of a song. And I couldn't resist listening to it more than once. So to both of you: WOOOW! Great talent here...

Right to the heart... &mdash 06/24/06 - 04:53:14 PM
...of the matter. I have chills at the moment. This track is full of rage, sorrow, and destruction. And ironically, because it is a piece of art - something created - it is therefore full of creative force and energy. Heartbreaking, really.
Superb.
Just one minor quibble. I would have preferred a full on dead stop finish, perhaps with the guitar solo ringing a final devastating note, rather than the fade out. [ Reply to This ]
What? This is Great! &mdash 06/25/06 - 06:53:19 PM
This is excellent, I can't believe it took this long for me to find this. I
wanna collab with someone after hearing this. Alan you are something
else. And Annalia was already on my favorites [ Reply to This ]

Republicans vote low, people with brain cells high... &mdash 06/30/06 - 01:51:44 PM
At least that's what it looks like.
Great track. I like the anger that speaks from the whole arrangement,
foremost of course the guitar part. [ Reply to This ]
Cool, Cool &mdash 06/30/06 - 02:39:27 PM
I like the sound you've created.

good job &mdash 06/30/06 - 10:31:54 PM
its good to see people protesting the war in music! i mean where the
heck are the weapons of mass destruction haha what morons. o wait
didnt they find 500 weapons of mass destruction? o thats right they
did---- OWNED why dont u do urself a favor and talk to some of those
that have been to iraq. i talked to a guy in the army that said he played
metallica over his loud speaker in his humvee and the streets were
filled with iraqis dancing. they werent alowed to dance in the streets
for 35 years. sometimes i wonder about people like you. [ Reply to This ]
good job &mdash 07/06/06 - 07:52:32 AM
This song was motivated the news of a boy whose legs were blown off by the Iraq blitzkreig (sometimes known as 'shock and awe') and how the British had air-lifted the kid to England for special therapy. --- Fraser Photos[ Reply to This ]
I love it. &mdash 07/04/06 - 04:43:05 AM
This reminds me a little of a Roger Waters track. (I love Roger Waters). The only suggestions I would make is to maybe have some radio responses or TV news broadcast snippets and then maybe perhaps a simple melodic chorus. But then, that would probably spoil what you've done here.
Excellent work guys. [ Reply to This ]
apocalypse now &mdash 07/05/06 - 02:42:51 PM
this is great, another wonderful cut-up with a tremendous sense of
drama. Fantastic guitar plaing - this is a tense and thoughtful piece of
work. Great stuff. [ Reply to This ]

War, what is it good for? &mdash 07/08/06 - 06:55:43 AM
Perhaps only to provide artists some inspiration. Good production and
the music conveys great emotion. Excellent tone and technique on the
guitar. Nice Pink Floyd feel to the whole track. [ Reply to This ]
Excellent... &mdash 07/10/06 - 11:00:51 PM
and timely. Fabulous guitar and production throughout. I thought the vote
numbers uneasingly low and tried to raise them up where they belong.

chilling &mdash 07/19/06 - 10:10:15 PM
sheesh... gives me shivers. Nice wall of sound building up ya got
there, and THEN the guitar kicks in. Great stuff you two. One thing
that is good and bad at the same time, is the lack of emotion in your
vocal deliveries. Alan sounds tired and unmoved, which is the perfect
kind of blood-curdling lack of compassion you're going for to get the
point across. Annalia, my suggestion would be the opposite for you, I
would think you should have more pleading and anguish in your
voice... and maybe to be really melodramatic, you could echo and fade
your voice away, letting it get drowned and washed away in the war
machine. And my usual 1 cent against fade-outs at the end, but a long
growling guitar chord instead. But even as this stands, its a rather
powerful stirring chunk of rock and message.

I enjoyed every second of this song.
Fantastic singing and backing and solo guitar.
