Description:
finally got around to posting a new version of this song with, hopefully, improved vocals. I've also added some 'dawn chorus' sound recording as intro and outro. I downlaoded this from a really useful website: http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/index.php

cheers and thanks for listening
Phil

Lyrics:
Sunrise

Sunrise ….
I guess I’ll never see it
Reflected in your green eyes
Ever again

But that’s OK
At least you won’t be troubled
And wondering what to say
Ever again

You can call me a restless fool
Who chose to break that golden rule
I hear every word you say
But I’ve made up my mind to go away

Simon and Garfunkel ish &mdash 06/18/06 - 02:51:56 PM
Love love love the harmonies... the soft, muted, lazy like sound. Not so
fond of the bird sounds myself (having gone through a New Age sound
effects craze already ;) ... but it doesn't hurt the song.

Thanks very much ..... I appreciate your comment. You may be right about the bird sound recording but, having just discovered the freesounds website, I couldn't resist using one here!
cheers, Phil

Good singing, tasteful guitar work, in general cool track, but there are
some timing problems that spoil it for me.

Cheers, thanks for the feedback. I normally use a drum or click track when I'm recording but didn't bother with this one so, I wouldn't be suprised if the tempo drifted a bit. Must admit though, I hadn't noticed anything particularly untoward with the timing .... I wonder if anyone else is troubled by this?

I don't understand why your score is low here. Lots of musical flavor, full
of a folky kind of beauty.

Like the interesting dreamy like fingerpicking (I think) unsless it's with
pick- guitar you do here.

Nice singing!

Thanks Bill, I appreciate your positve comment. I never did get the hang of using a pick for either acoustic or electric (lead) guitar so always play with a primitive kind of fingerstyle (thumb and first 2 fingers)
cheers, phil
