Description:
Love`s ending.
Lyrics:
Try to remindThe hope inside our eyes
And now we find
We are too old and blind
Watch out for more
We separate our minds
We`ve got to score
Within our stupid grind
We`ve learned to lie
We`ve learned to fight against ourselves
We`ve learned to try
To be just strangers in our eyes
You`ve told the truth
There is no future now
There is no use
In making it work somehow
You`re always right
You`ve always lived your life
And all the fights
They cut you like a knife
We`ve learned to lie
We`ve learned to wish ourselves away
We`ve learned to try
To be just strangers `til we die

this seems for real... very emotional and heartfelt.
It's sad but then it's beautiful how you've made this little song with just your guitar and your voice.
They say the end of something is also the start of something new...
Nice playing and singing. Nice chord movements. You are ready for
prime time, if not already there. Very meaningful song. Way to caress
the hurt.

Nice arrangement. guitar compliments vocal well, good voice. all in all a pleasant experience.Enjoyeed. Cheery

I dig the simplicity of this song. Guitars and vocals, when performed well, what would you need more. And yes, this one is a beauty. Maybe some vocal harmonies here and there would add to the song. Anyway, great work which I enjoyed a lot.

Really nice track...the melancholy guitar style kind of reminds me of Mark
Kozolek of Sun Kil Moon/Red House Painters. This is very haunting
without getting into self pity...cartharsis through song!

earthy....wonderful chord changes....I like the dryness to this
performance....it suits the song very well....good lyrics and it is played
and sang well....nice work

So great to see you back. You are one of my favorites not only here at Mj
but anywhere. This has a wonderful John Mayer feel, with a depth of
years he is not yet capable of. This song is an arrow, nothing wasted,
never deviating, piercing. Just love's end illustrated. Simply masterful.

There is no greater weight nor burden than the heavy heart. That
gravity is convincingly portrayed --- and well-performed --- in this
stark composition.
If this song is autobiographical, I sincerely hope it helps you heal and
move on.
I, for one, look forward to hearing more of the terrific... more upbeat...
music that lies within you. ;-)

Another very nice song from you Ingo - really like the shifts in chords
towards the end. Excellent guitar and vocals as usual. Your thumb is
playing a great line for a fretless bass, and I am hearing this with a
small band, maybe just you, drums and fretless.
Alles gute!

Odd how beauty and sadness can go together sometimes, but they do.
Wow; this is very powerful. It sounds like it comes straight from the
heart--no artificially sappy lines, no cliches, just honesty, laying one's
heart bare. And no blame, which is a trap most of us fall into when
relationships go south. Bravo.
On a totally inconsequential note, your voice sounds like James Taylor
to me. Have you thought of sending this to James to see if he'd be
interested in singing it? Sounds crazy, maybe, but I do this sort of
thing with my own music sometimes, and occasionally get a positive
response

I love the lyrics.. The song is very good too.
I like the all of it. But try to add some back vocals and harmonies.

this is so beautiful, I really didn't want it to end. More please.
Your lyrics are simple, yet so concise. A sad lovely song.

This has a great weight to it, despite only being shaped from a gentle
voice and soft guitar.
Simple, direct and beautiful.

Menschen kommen und gehen. Die Liebe bleibt im Herzen und das ist gut
so. Wie sonst hättest du so ein schönes Arangement bringen können?
Mit Emotionen in den Dingen die du tus,t wirst du die Menschen
erreichen.
Was wünscht sich ein Musiker mehr?
Weiter so.

As others have already said this is excellent. Your lyrics are strong and
really make the song click for me. Professionally done no frills and none
needed. Well done.

... of the highest order.
Its beauty and power lies in its simplicity.
Another wonderful song, Ingo.

there's not much more to add that hasn't been said. the song is
tasteful and peaceful. it resonates in the current trend of guitarist/
singer/songwriters that has populated the music industry of late.
this is a very gentle piece that lightly shadows the edge of sunlight
with almost whimsical caution.
i saw you post the link for this in the chat area, requesting feedback.
glad i stumbled onto it.
if you have time, stop by and let me know your thoughts on my stuff.
i look forward to hearing what comes next!

A perfect frame for this picture... I see the person in a corner of the
appartment, singing by themselves.. the guitar and voice both sound
perfect.. you have the sense to leave it very dry with any reverb being
short and small... this puts us right in the room... almost like we are
intruding as the narator laments..
I hope this song came from observing others and not experience
great work

simple but real. Well done!

Great job--beautiful music and excellent job singing those nice melodies over the melody backbone. Moving lyrics too. I liked it.
