Badlands... This is a neat idea worthy of expansion...literally. Thanks to the accompanying picture, I feel the need to hear the flute played across an expanse and in space--thus I'd recommend a litte experimentation with reverb to create a soaring tonal quality to the flute. Afterall, it's a prayer, and prayers drift to the heavens like wisps of smoke and disperse high into the heavens. The "room" sounds too intimate--add some 'verb and see what happens to it! It has real potential to capture the essence of a prayer. Check out my latest song called Defining Moment

Badlands... I think you're right Rick. I did this piece a couple of years back well before I started playing with Garageband. Played on my Yamaha synth. I did experiment a bit with the reverb but never got it quite right. I think gazing at picture of the Badlands suggests as you say wide open expansive spaces and more reverb would definitely help. Thanks for the listen and the good critique. Check out my latest song called The Orion Express - MJ Space Race 2009 by Bowman

Music unfolding I like how this piece develops. It's as if you come over a mountain top, and the landscape unfolds itself bfore your eyes. Very soothing. Victor. PS I found this track by searching for "grand canyon". You and I have posted the only two tracks with those keywords. Check out my track "North Rim". Check out my latest song called Desert Stars

This piece has for me an plantive quality - an Indian prayer that perhaps
no one will ever hear.
This was pre garage band played on a Yamaha PSR-270.
Love to hear how it comes across to you.
