That was an incredibly beautiful piece. The structure and pacing of the clusters of notes in space left my heart racing.

Best so far &mdash 06/25/06 - 06:50:27 PM
This is the best piece of yours that I have heard so far! Very impressive
work! Your ideas are more developed here, there is more drama, and
you're using more ideas. Oh, and it doesn't end with a question mark!

Wow! REALLY good work! You're extremely talented. Can't wait to hear
the other pieces from the suite!

Majestic &mdash 06/26/06 - 06:29:35 AM
Majestic, lyrical, witty. A wonderfully announcing prelude, making me
want more. Just the right touch of the orient couched within neo-
classical progressions. Masterfully played. (What do you use to record
your piano?)

Beautiful and Evocative &mdash 06/26/06 - 11:18:32 AM
This reminds me much of Debussy's "L'isle Joyeuse." This is a wonderful composition, haribo. I too, have somehow missed your music...now I'll be listening to it all while I work.

Wow, man! &mdash 06/26/06 - 11:52:16 AM
When I first heard it my speakers started to move some things on my desk and they came closer and closer...
What you`ve done here is absolutely fantastic. Full of joy and love. Amazingly played.
I agree with ziti: where have I been or what have I done that I haven`t heard any of your tunes?
I promise I will!

Nicely Done &mdash 06/27/06 - 08:08:36 AM
For a 20-year-old who says he lacks proper musical education, I'd say you
display a fair amount of technical skill in this piece.

What that tells me is that what you DO NOT LACK, is passion and
dedication... two qualities which are far more elusive than any formal
education.

Keep up the good work, haribo. ;-)

(Jade Sea Prelude 1) &mdash 06/27/06 - 09:39:19 AM
Wow! Totally impressive music! Like someone else said, it reminds me a
bit of Debussy's preludes, which I used to play as a young man. Wow!

Did you play this? If not, how was it done? I'm trying to learn Garage
Band, and not having much success.

Wow!

Gorgeous!! &mdash 06/28/06 - 08:00:26 AM
Such a lovely composition, truly inspired!

This piece is indeed reminiscent of the French impressionists, combined with the energy and lyricism of Respighi -- but with some contemporary, "new age" twists (a compliment!) which make the piece glow in a new light.

Your piano playing is absolutely stellar; exciting dynamic contrasts, totally masterful touch on the keyboard. You exhibit a blazing, yet sensitive technique.

I especially like the strongly percussive, punctuated notes which ring out like an orchestral instrument. In fact, you make the piano SOUND like a full symphony orchestra.

In my opinion, this is the best piano track I have heard on MacJams in the two years I have been here. That's saying a LOT; there are several great pianists on this site. But something about the combination of masterful composition and performance of this piece puts it on top.

I, too, am curious how you recorded this; software, hardware, venue etc.

Bravo, seriously! I would score this 11-11-11-11 if I could.

Blazing piano! &mdash 06/28/06 - 02:23:47 PM
Don't know how you did it but you've certainly created a scintillating piece
of music. I can%u2019t believe you played this live it%u2019s just too perfect. And if
there is any fault in this it's that slight uncertain imperfection of a live
performance that I miss. Still a great piece.

Wow, indeed &mdash 06/30/06 - 06:39:42 AM
This really sounds great!
The detail of every single note is carefully thought (it at least seems like
it) and as a result, every single note works very well in the whole piece.
No complaints here!
