Another fine work! &mdash 06/26/06 - 10:57:24 AM
Virtuosic, dramatic, yet a very simple and pretty melody. The harmony
was also very simple, and that adds to its charm. I found myself wishing
it would perhaps venture just a little further afield with its
harmony than it does, just because so much of it is a single chord (tonic),
with a couple of visits to the dominant chord area. But you could look at
it another way, which is to say that despite its very simple harmonic
content (I V I V I; and that's all!), it remains very interesting and attractive
due to the full and active textures you use. Good work, once again!

Is the tune a traditional melody from your country?

Stunning!! &mdash 06/26/06 - 12:24:05 PM
Having played piano for a long time, I'm so grateful when I come across something that genuinly unique and full of fresh creative energy. Oh, and add a professionally trained piano player with a great sense for subtleties and technical excellence...Truly remarkable! There are so many good things to comment on here, the soundscape you create, leaving space for so much beautiful imagery. I especially like the way you introduce the melody and the organic buildup to the bold but still charming ending. Amazing work!! The only thing that I could imagine to be different, and that's really just my opinion, is that at times it sounds like the timing is almost too perfect, as if it was played in at a lower speed, the fast flourishes are stunning but sound almost a little bit harsh as a result (feel free to correct me if I'm off here, what do I know!). Overall though, this piece is Just as overwhelmingly beautiful as your prelude 1.

Thanks so much for sharing this! Modern classical music at its best! Truly remarkable...

a-ha! &mdash 06/26/06 - 01:27:57 PM
Just finished reading your biography. Are you saying that you are 20 years old and have no classical piano training?! Wow! Makes your music even more impressive.
