Description:
Melancholy, what is this genre?

Lyrics:
[Chorus] X2
You were so close I could
See the sunset in your eyes but
Now you're gone
And I am all alone

Dark depth, unseen emotion
Melancholy images, blue and green oceans
Untapped love and overused sorrow
Fleeting sunsets that give way to tomorrow
Parting clouds and burned down trees
Reflections of self it hurts to now see
Ephemeral beauty, dreams of the moon
White doves soar above life that blooms 8
Painted pictures on petals of passion
Roses that shrivel and die as time passes
Nightshades that grow amongst darkness
Love brings a tear to the eye of the heartless
Instruments that collect dust in silence
Broken guitar strings, and shut eyelids
Something you seek to have but can't find it
The field of the magic we lied in

[Chorus]

Screaming for breathe, gasping for words
Choking for air hoping that it will emerge
Feeling the pain of a rain drop's landing
Dissonant tones of hope are still standing
Shattered glass, dried tears and echoes
Abandoned towns, wind howls in a meadow
Dew on the web of a spider
Spectrum of light generated from a ray that shines through 8
It reminds you of ripples in ponds
Casting distorted reflections of stars
Holes to heaven, hope had set in
Before forgettin', the sun is settin' and you gun' let it
Reddened clouds, sun shine and rain
Moon light and pain, people who die in vain
I thought I heard you whisper
Musta been my imagination comin' back to disturb 16

[Chorus] X3

a sad song &mdash 06/27/06 - 12:54:52 PM
The vocals pops to loud..
The piano is tight.
The chorus is catchy buttry to put your voice louder in it.
Overall is good.
I like it

Melancholy indeed &mdash 06/27/06 - 06:17:56 PM
Normally I steer clear of anything that smacks of rap, but if you do it this
way it's fine with me.

I like the way you set a mood in this song, with the angry spoken vocals,
the dark sung vocals, and the instrumentation in particular that piano.

However, there is something really weird in the low frequencies. I guess
there is a bass part, but it conflicts with something. It's as if two
instruments are fighting for the low frequencies. If you can clear that up a
bit, this is a cool song.
