Description
Vocals by my favorite ingenue who is getting married next week, Emily Rohm. She makes it sound like a light classical aire, I originally placed it in the classical genre; but it is really a pop ballad done with a legit voice. This is the developed yet sparse arrangement (using 2 harps, an introductory synth wash, and a key change) of the song demo, Dreams that won the first MacJams song contest in 2004. Emily does a great job with this song and I wish her all the best as she begins her wonderful new wedded chapter of her already wonderful life. (The song, by the way, is deceptively simple and breaks many rules of harmonics and composition, yet swirls around a magnetic tonal center, like a dream.
