Alternating between suspenseful and nervously frenetic, this was
a tension filled trip. I had a vision of things in the cornfields...
and another scene where the world was moving in ultra-slow
motion... the people were frozen, staring at something unknown
with wide looks of horror on their faces.

that's a most interesting vision for it is nothing like what I would reason or
imagine a person to have while listening to these sounds. all the better then.
thanks for the input and the thoughts. always glad to hear what others think or
see or feel when listening to something out of the ordinary like this track.

CREEPED OUT &mdash 06/28/06 - 11:01:53 PM
This was intense ... Hitchcock meets Philip Glass. There's a great talent
behind this AS - this is a smart and complex piece of writing, that never
gets too clever for its own good. Lovely production as well, everything
really clear and well seperated.

I had not thought of Hitchcock, but after contemplation, I see what you mean,
and agree with you. These experiments with sound that I do are a bit difficult to
digest, so I am always pleased when someone trully gets into the composition
and "hears" it. Thanks for posting your comment.

This exactly they way my head felt back when I would a) do a big bong
b) quickly take two lung fulls of nitrous oxide. whoaaa...this is a very
cool audio rush. Note: I don't advocate the use of mind-altering
substances. I like..........

Steve Reich? &mdash 06/30/06 - 11:16:30 AM
only much more gauzy and ambient, and then Ornette...? Trying to
compare this piece to other artists is futile, this sound like nothing I've
heard before. I love music like this, the kind that creates emotions that
everyone knows but few can communicate.

Steve Reich? &mdash 06/30/06 - 07:50:56 PM
I haven't had the pleasure of Reich, but will have to check him out. I try to make
something different but only accomplish so much. In the end, it is often more
difficult to find someone who will be interested enough to listen to such pieces,
and even harder to find someone who can really hear the piece. regardless, I
make "music" for myself. If I'm not interested in what I'm doing, then I can't do
it. My interests, in the end, are esoteric. Thaks for the comment.

patience rewards &mdash 07/04/06 - 06:18:45 AM
what a great piece of music. The organ sound holding a thread thru
out is just too cool. Like a walk on a summer night down a dark path,
with small sounds that seem larger (and closer) than they really are.
Yes, it does get tense and spooky but your stronger at the other end
for it. You obviously put some effort into this and it shows. Very skilled
use of "negative space". A hard thing to achieve.

thanks for taking the time to listen and think about the piece. certainly,
patience rewards, and whatever you put into something you will get back out.
I'm glad you stopped by and left a thoughtful comment.
