Cool! It's got a distorted spy movie theme feel to it, or at least to the
first main section, then it gets kind of psychodelic. Sometimes it gets
a bit too repetitive for me, but I realize that the repetition is
intentional, and it isn't a problem or anything. Something a lot of
composers try to do when ideas are repeated is to subtly change things
during the repetitions, so the listener doesn't lose interest. I can hear
you doing this some of the time, so I guess I'm wondering what it
might sound like if you did more of it.
It's a sequential structure--one section, another section, another
section, etc. (A-B-C-coda), which in itself is interesting, but I'd be
curious to hear this structured in such a way that the A section
returned at some point, to give it 'rounded off' feeling when it's done.
The down side with pieces that are too sectional, with no sectional
returns, is that they can feel like a bunch of good but unlrelated short
piece strung together.
