Lyrics
TELLING LIES
Don’t look at me when I talk to you
Don’t let me see your eyes
How can you expect me to look at your face
When I’m telling lies
Don’t tell me that you love me
Stop treating me so nice
The one time I don’t want to be loved
Is when I’m telling lies
Oh I wish that I could tell you
But the truth would hurt so bad
And as long as it keeps you happy
I’ll be telling lies
The telling of falsehoods is a sin I know
And truthfulness is a prize
But love is stronger than honesty
So I’ll keep telling lies
Don’t look at me when I talk to you
Don’t let me see your eyes
How can you expect me to look at your face
When I’m telling lies
Don’t tell me that you love me
Stop treating me so nice
The one time I don’t want to be loved
Is when I’m telling lies
Oh I wish that I could tell you
But the truth would hurt so bad
And as long as it keeps you happy
I’ll be telling lies
The telling of falsehoods is a sin I know
And truthfulness is a prize
But love is stronger than honesty
So I’ll keep telling lies

Love the song, shades of REM for sure and thats no bad thing, voice has
balls and work well with the driving rhythm. All in all great stuff. Maybe a
little bridge 2/3 of the way thru.
