Are You There?? &mdash 07/03/06 - 02:59:25 PM
First, I really enjoyed the production and groove. The Vocal sound in the
distance is also very nice and the overall feel is right on. The only thing i
didn't care for is towards the middle of the song you sing "I want to be
there too" several times and I didn't care for that line. Overall Very Good.

Writing Along... &mdash 07/03/06 - 03:02:00 PM
Nice sweeping pad in the beginning, there. Although, I didn't like the
stabbing high-pitched synth line that much. Seemed a bit too much of
a contrast to the pad.
Ah, here come the vocals - they sound pretty good.
Hmmm, now that the drum beat and the groovy bass line have joined
in, the stabbing synth sounds much better. Nice groove you've got
going now.

Well, the track's over - now I can look at things in perspective :)
It was maybe a tad too long and repetitive, but I guess Ambient music
tends to do that, so I'll let it slide.
What I would've liked to hear, though, are the vocals 'breaking out', as
it were. They're always a bit dry and hollow (missing the lower
frequencies?) and that kind of left me wanting more.

Anyway - this might just be me :)
All in all a decent track, but it really has some potential!

-E

As always E, great comment. The vocal is a sample as me singing, is not an
option, as this was the case I was limited on the content.

Filtering the sample to such a degree seemed to make the sound as good as it
could. If anyone would like to vocal over the track let me know.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Cheers

As always SG, thanks for your help on this.

I will send you the track without vocals and you can do your magic.

Speak to you soon.

Pretty nice... &mdash 07/16/06 - 05:41:14 PM
I like the beat and the bass lines in this. Vox is pretty but a little far back
in the mix for my taste. A solid effort!

Be well!

nice, but needs more &mdash 07/16/06 - 07:45:26 PM
I like the initial ideas in this, but the music does feel a little static, it
needs a chorus/B-section to break it up some. The bass-synth and
higher-pitched synths add some spice, but I think there needs to be more
bass and high-frequency stuff happening... maybe it is because the vox
you are using are muffled/pinched-in, it feels like the whole mix is
slightly midrange-heavy, and needs more hi/lo breathing room. This is
fairly minor, but I wanted to try to explain what I heard. I enjoyed the
smooth flowing groove of the music. Hope that's helpful!

nice, but needs more &mdash 07/18/06 - 05:32:31 PM
Great comment, helped loads. Thanks for taking the time to listen to the track
in such detail, what I want from people who listen.

I have got some work to do with the vocal, might have another stab and re-
submit.

Thanks again

Nice Groove &mdash 07/19/06 - 05:52:02 PM
Sorry, can't provide the erudite musical analysis others have offered,
particularly in this genre, but I really dug your tune and I like it as is. Very
pretty. Do post it back up when you complete the SGF version

very &mdash 08/22/06 - 07:21:15 PM
very cool pic...it fits this tune.....a bit forlorn....a bit distant....nice work
and a great choice in sounds...well assembled and interesting....could see
this used in a film....which is a good thing....love that deadly ass beat that
drops in.....great pulse as the feel rolls along effortlessly....keep up the
good work.....

80-ish &mdash 08/22/06 - 07:31:45 PM
Sounds good - a very 80s feel to me. I like the musical bed, but I
expect that if you take Slimmie up on her offer this will be lifted into
another league. It must be incredibly difficult using sampled vox. I'll
keep an ear out for SGF/EMP version in the future.

I have taken up SGF on her offer but she has been so busy lately. Watch this space.
