Description:
this was recorded on a Tascam X-18 4 track back in 1998....not really a song....more of an experiment....this song features me playing an old Boss Dr. Rhythm, Freaky Octave Bass, Guitar, My washing machine, some sound clips(see if you can guess what they are) and the sound of my cat giving birth to her first litter in our closet on my wifes shoes....no kidding....a wonderful thing to come home to I assure you....and a sound you don't hear often so I thought "hey, better grab the 4-track!!"

no she doesn't wear those shoes anymore....they were promptly thrown out....after delivery of all kittens of course....

and yes I was sober.....

this song was recorded on the 4 track...then mixed into Cubase and Mastered through
T-Racks....so yes, a Mac was involved.

Lyrics:
yeah okay....uuummmmm

Hardware:
tascam X-18 cassette 4-track, bass, guitar, boss dr.rhythm, washing machine, cat giving birth, what was that sound??

Software:
cubase, t-racks

Never thought of using a washing machine.... but it keeps pretty decent time! I kept waiting for the spin cycle with the feline shrieks - YEOOOOW -yeoooooow- YEOOOOW - yeoooooow - YEOOOOW - yeoooooow-YEOOOOW-yeoooooow-YEOOOOW-yeoooooow-YEOOOOW-yeoooooow-

Salvador Dali on spin cycle. You and Troy should do a collab. Oh, wait. Troy is gone. Imagine the possibilities. This is way cool. Quite conceptual. Absolutely nightmarish. Musak for the elevator to purgatory?

BLOCK THAT KICK! &mdash 07/06/06 - 04:56:26 AM
Great track! Vaguely reminiscent of %u2018Revolution #9,%u2019 to which the title of
this comment is an obscure reference. I really enjoy this kind of stuff.
The only suggestion I have is to try varying the texture a bit more from
one section to another.

Really freaky, and I mean that in the nicest way possible.
But it is *really* freaky!
Cool production.

some old horra movie. I've seen a couple of cat litters being born, and I must say they weren't quite as poltergeisty as this song... but if the kittens had looked like little devil cats, this would most certainly be the right soundtrack. Nice crazy soundscape you've got here.
