This is a moving and beautiful piece, and would be so even if you had
not given it a programmatic title. It has in it the seeds of a truly great
composition. I like the lyricism, and your slightly unconventional
treatment of harmony. I could listen to this over and over. It is far, far
too short, though! It is slow and expansive, leading me at least to
expect and wish for a longer, more substantial composition. It is as if
an extraordinarily talented actor were to walk onto a stage and say "to
be, or not to be; that is the question," and pause thoughtfuly, and then
say it again, and then walk off the stage. He (the actor), like you, has
the audience in the palm of his hand, and can play us like a fiddle (to
borrow an old expression), but chooses not to. Aargh!
I've gone on too long, but would not have done so had I not been so
impressed by this! If it's any consolation, learning how to write more
extended compositions is probably the biggest challenge for classical
music composers, much harder than orchestration, or coming up with
good ideas.
Great work once again!

Short and sweet. It's sad that "Fallen" had to be written at all.
