Description
This is a long song. It is technically 2 songs in one. There are a lot extended passages and changes in this track and it won't suit everyones tastes. Im still not 100% happy with it so suggestions are very welcome.

Again, this is long.

Id compare this to the likes of Tool.

and then some. I am really liking this one a lot. The first "mellow"
half is really good, I would not change a thing there at all. Actually, all the parts are very good as is.
I think the snare drum needs a little more "beef" and maybe a more
interesting bass line. So, I like all the progressions, and only the
"sound" of certain instruments need to be improved a little. The backwards
guitar bits are awesome. All worked together well. This is some tasty work, Liam. Very good stuff.

Katchoolik's comments are right on. Especially about the snare drum ...
it sounds more like a kitchen kettle.

Industrial gothic rock. Very cool. Like a long walk to an ancient, heavy
Segovian castle at night. Nice textures. Excellent aural range. There are
parts that remind me of Black Sabbath, others that sound like a James
Bond soundtrack. Is the lead guitar supposed to sound a little buzzy or
raspy?

there's so much here. I like the use of the ambient pads in the
beginning and thru out. The heavy gtr work is also layered nicely and
well played. you use some really cool sounds, excellent synth work. I
hear some pink floyd influence here. i only mention this as they are
one of my major influences (although you'd never know, listening to
my stuff) :-)

So did you play all the instruments on this? ie..drums as well?

I like the way the instruments come together, are layered and build in
the first part - it is a long intro, but that's fine.
The more rockin' part is cool - I was wondering about perhaps laying a
countermelody on top of this - like interlocking guitar parts - much of
this seems to be played in unison. (OK, I should have waited before
commenting, there is some counter complement ... still I wouldn't
mind hearing more).
Into backwards guitar part now .... I like the space mood with the lead
guitar and synth (or that could be a heavily mod'd guitar part instead
of a synth). More bluesy now.
I have a suggestion - I think a melodic phrase or two could be grabbed
from the last guitar solo part before the ending, variations of which
would appear earlier in the song. Just an idea to tie things together.
