Description:
This is a score I wrote to the movie "Corpse Bride" for a school project. The scene starts while victor is in the woods and hes practicing his vowes. Then the corpse bride appears and the chase begins.

Note: This music is not affiliated at all with the motion picture "Corpse Bride"

I haven't seen Corpse Bride &mdash 07/06/06 - 11:38:34 AM
But I think that's not necessary to fully enjoy this altenate score of yours. This is simply ASTONISHING man! What a composer you are.

Listening for the third time now... and it always gets better and better. Loaded with tons of athmosphere. You know, I don't even NEED a movie with this.

I saw Corpse Bride (while on a plane) but I don't recall the original scoring,
but as I recall the scene this certainly sounds perfect for it. You have
done an excellent job here. It tells the action and emotion of the scenario
with all the right little touches and pacing. You also did a great job of
getting beautiful performances out of the midi instruments, making them
come to life.

Did you have a copy of the scene with the sounds but minus the original
score or did you reconstruct the film sounds yourself to go with the scene
and your original score?

I haven't actually seen "Corpse Bride" (it's on my to-see list) so I really
don't have the comparison, but frankly I don't feel I need one.
This is really good!
Really admirable how much soul you've managed to get out of the MIDI
instrument. That's not an easy thing to do.
Excellent composition and very nice production (considering the lack of a
real orchestra).

A definate favorite.

I think you captured the quirky beauty of Burton's work. Your score has
the same sort of dreamy, odd, romantic, and wacky character as his
artistic style. I'd love to watch the scene with your score. The music is
certainly descriptive and exciting.
