Description:
This song I wrote back in 1998. I was a weeker vocalist than I am now. The song is about love. Sometime "love aint easy". And sometime you have to turn things over to God in order to get through.

Lyrics:
Isn’t there any man
Who understands a commitment
She aint always what you want her to be
But it’s not a fatal condition

But the moment you see her under pressure
You wonderin why you married her
She calls you name that really hurts
You’d better love her and keep your word

You see things you aint never saw
She thinks things you aint never thought
You think that she don’t love you
And that’s somethin she aint never thought

Love aint easy
Love aint easy at all!
Love aint easy
Love aint easy at all!

Isn’t there a woman
Who understands this condition
That a man aint always what you want him to be
Even though he thinks that he’s perfect

But the moment you seem him under pressure
You wonderin why you married him
Never says “I love you” anymore
You’d better love him any keep your word

He does things you never saw
Wont share! It seems he never talks
You think that he don’t love
But that’s somethin he aint never thought

Love aint easy (2x)
Love aint easy at all!
Love aint easy
Love aint easy at all!

Instrument solo

Bridge:
You know you never dream things could be so bad
And you wonder why you treat your baby so wrong
Take it to the throne and lay it down
He can work it out
But He didn’t promise easy!

It's been awhile, mister... Long time, no hear from - Worth the wait - This is a very slick production - So what's goin on here; how was this put together - It's been so long, that I forget what instruments you play - It flows very nicely and it is as tight as it gets - Very nice groove - And the vocals are what they needed to be; they sounded effortless, and w/ the type of control that a seasoned vocalist would bring to the table. - Everything was on - Welcome back Tony - Now are you just dropping in to tease us or will you be hanging out w/ us for awhile? - Thanks for the tune - Dion

This was a really simple production. It was sequenced on the ensoniq TS-12, recorded on fostex 8 track where the soprano sax was added. I mixed down to a fostex D-5 DAT, digitech effects unit (256xl), Sony mic (cheap). I got lucky!

Thanks for the reminder &mdash 07/07/06 - 05:45:46 AM
It is so true; commitment to one another and to God is tough. But, if we
put it in His hands, He will work it out for His Glory.

God bless and Go Navy,

Rick

Great back up band too &mdash 07/09/06 - 07:53:38 AM
Nice tune. I have always thought that "love should be easy" was one of
the silliest over-generalizations; thanks for writing a song that takes the
opposite view. Altho I would have preferred more redeeming
characteristics uncovered in your song's characters (after their partners
gave them a second chance). I really like the energy you share in your
performance. My favorite part is the soprano sax work. Who is on sax?
Excellent playing. Really nice percussion too.

Thanks Tobin,

I was the guy playing soprano sax and the rest is a sequence I created on an Ensoniq TS-12 keyboard.

Catchy...good post &mdash 08/29/06 - 04:27:24 PM
Good tune, good backing and vocal support...heard bass, drums, organ and clarinet or tenor sax, but no guitar. Different but nice. Last, but not least was good production work. What DAW did you use or was it a standalone unit?
